At Tuned In, you can expect a lineup of Hawke's Bay wāhine greats - including the likes of Ella Pollett, Kathryn Totty, Kitty Day, Sarah Terry, and The Cellars.

All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at this first showcase ~ a taste of things to come.

~Women in Tune is a collective of women involved in the local music industry. The rōpū aim to create space for wāhine to connect, kōrero, share and support one another ~ this live showcase is a chance to celebrate their art 🌷

Introducing our final act for the season this Sunday at Church Road Winery.

We are excited to have L & A join us for the first time - this Hawke's Bay based duo made up of Laura Mackie and Aaron Sankey. Laura, a soulful singer who enjoys an eclectic range from ballads to grunge, has recently teamed up with Aaron, a multitalented musician who offers a skillful and dynamic take on the keys. Their set includes favorite's from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu, plus their own take on some funky classics you will know and love.

We are stoked to welcome back Ella Pollett to our Church Road Winery Gwen Session this Sunday. An upcoming singer/songwriter from Hawkes Bay, Ella’s songs are a little pop with a hint of country. Ella opened for Rod Stewart at the Mission Concert in 2023 and she is also a two time winner at rock quest. This young singer/songwriter has been busy releasing some of her original songs on Spotify with more currently on the way to be released we are in for a treat this Sunday 🌻

Topping off our sunny Sunday on the lawn, we’ll be serenaded by Scarlett Eden.

Scarlett Eden, a NZ raised singer-songwriter born in London town, delivers a mixture of Neo Soul and RnB with her own street inspired twist. With powerful vocals that resonate with soul she possesses a remarkable ability to craft compelling stories through her music. Scarlett’s duo partner is Henry Alexander, the dynamic guitarist who brings an electrifying burst of energy to every Scarlett Eden performance. With his extraordinary talent for crafting mesmerising neo-soul riffs. Having shared the limelight with Scarlett, they've graced audiences with unforgettable shows that will forever resonate in the hearts of music enthusiasts.

This Sunday we’re back at Church Road for another afternoon of local live music along with delicious food and drinks! 🥂

First up this week we have Kitty Day, a singer songwriter with a difference, performing intriguing original material and occasional surprising cover versions. Originally from Yorkshire, Kitty was a late blooming flower of the North London folk scene, playing the Green Note, the Betsey Trotwood and Karamel to name a few, before being transplanted to Hawke's Bay in 2017. Since then she has been winning friends with her versatile, emotive voice and transcendental lyricism.

If you haven’t heard already, we’re putting on a boujee little street festival in the heart of Ahuriri! This is something that has been in the works for years, and we’re super excited to be partnering with The Urban Winery and The National Distillery Company to finally make it happen, with support from Napier City Council - Te Kaunihera o Ahuriri and Hawke's Bay New Zealand.
This will be a day to come together and celebrate the best bits of Napier; delicious bevvys, tasty eats, and some of the best live music from Hawkes Bay and beyond.

Hailing from the great windy city of Chicago, Greg has performed for many original and cover acts all over the USA and on cruise ships. Writing and performing his own music for the past 17 years, and residing in Hawkes Bay for the last three, Greg plays solo and with Playing Mantis, a 4 piece classic rock cover band. His music draws inspiration from the greats of the 60s and 70s with his own original touch. Greg will fill your hearts with his life journeys and guarantees to get your feet moving!

We’re back for 2024 at Church Road! This Sunday we have a stellar lineup on the lawn, and first up is Sarah Terry.

Sarah Terry holds on to an audience with an infectious passion you can’t help but watch. An interesting musical identity, she’s a folky, angsty, singer-songwriter with a sonic art degree tucked in her back pocket. She is an intuitive and experienced performer, always adapting to ensure her audience is entertained. Sarah knows the struggles of the male dominated industry and hopes to inspire change.

Finishing off our session this Sunday afternoon, we’ll be treated to the musical finesse of South American duo Cyan Música.

Known for their eclectic performance and varied styles, Cyan serves fresh and classic music of worldwide stages. They dive high and low and cater a wide range: from sweet & dreamy ballads and funky up-beat neo soul to deeply cherished South American folk and reimagined pop songs. Although seemingly worlds apart, at the heart of their project lies two experimental musicians that enjoy exploring the music universe. Stoked to step into Aotearoa's scene, they are curating their art form and can’t wait to share it with you all.

It’s almost time for our third Summer Session at Church Road – and the last one before the New Year! Cheers to another beautiful day in the sun with 3 talented local artists. First up is Kenya Boerman Music.

Kenya Boerman is an emerging singer/songwriter from the Hawkes Bay. The 17 year old has been described as having a unique voice with a hint of grunge and soft country rock. In 2020, Kenya was runner up in the prestigious Rockquest Solo/Duo competition. After winning The Breeze Live Lounge competition last year and working with engineer John Garcia and producer Thomas Rede, Kenya has released her first single, ‘Let Go’. Kenya is currently on the way to releasing a new single 'Petals' with producer Thomas Oliver. It marks the official debut of what promises to be an exciting journey ahead.

Santa's coming to town on Sunday 3rd December for the Harcourts Christmas Parade! With heaps of displays and floats, plus pipe bands, the little red fire truck, mascots, and Mr Claus himself, this is one to add to the calendar 📅
