It’s the start of hellebore season! 🌸 aka winter roses! They’re available in so many different colours now, including double petals! Very low care also, just trim back the old leaves and give them a feed in autumn. Only thing you really have to worry about is aphids in late summer/early winter. It’s lovely to have a pop of colour in the garden during the colder months

Garden update! 🌸 With most of the summer annuals finished for the season, and the roses on their very last legs, it’s time for the protea’s and hellebores to shine! 🫶🏻 It’s so nice still having a little bit of colour around before winter sets in

Happy Friday! 🌅 Some beautiful views here this morning after that amazing sunrise! ☀️ Autumn definitely is here!

Cafe au Lait Twist has finally arrived! 🌸 this was one of my strongest plants last season… this season - complete different story! It’s a very small plant but thankfully it’s pumped out some beautiful blooms. My Cafe Au Lait are yet to flower this season (I actually don’t think they’ll produce any blooms before the frosts) same as my Maya - another one that performed amazing last season. It’s been a funny growing time for the dahlias so next year I think I’ll work on soil health for them

Sweet Love 🩷 One of my first and favourite dahlias! Unfortunately my dahlia’s are not living their best life currently (I think they need more water - opps!) but I’m already daydreaming over which varieties I’d like to pick up for next summer 🌸

Starting Monday off by admiring my giant lilies! This year they are taller than me! Only downside is that I would need a concrete vase to keep these from toppling 🤣 and my allergies would not be a fan as the scent is strong!

The rainbow after the storm 🌈
What a rough weekend! 201km/hr wind was recorded out here in Oxford leaving lots of damage and clean up.
I was extremely lucky, with very minimal damage to the garden and once again my trusty Morrifield Tunnelhouses stood strong 💪🏼 - wouldn’t reccomend anything else!

Garden update! 🌱 After being battered by a week of nor west wind, the 60mls of rain this weekend was a welcomed treat for the plants! Everything is so much more revitalised now! 33 peonies have popped up and even the dahlias are making (a very early) appearance!

I have a few of the double hybrid variety about to bloom too - which is so exciting!
Hellebores look beautiful floating in a dish of water, I didn’t have any dishes appropriate it this china set works perfectly!
Have you got any hellebores in your collection?
