Calling all talent! We’re on the lookout for a few key performers to join the upcoming season of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! We’re seeking someone to play Jacob, along with a couple of brothers and wives, for shows at The Hawera Memorial Theatre in February and The Regent on Broadway in March.

We’re also building up our fantastic children’s choir! If you’re aged 7-14 and want to be part of an unforgettable experience in your hometown, this is your chance to join the stage magic.

New Cultural Hub Secured for Palmerston North: New Stage Productions Secures Versatile Arts Venue at 391-393 Church Street

Palmerston North, 30th October 2024 – New Stage Productions, a New Zealand-based production company in the Manawatū region, is thrilled to announce it has secured a new venue. This centrally located facility, directly opposite the Plaza Shopping Centre, is set to become a cornerstone for the arts community—not only in Palmerston North but across New Zealand—offering access to a vibrant array of cultural experiences and events.

The venue includes three flexible, open-plan rooms, providing convenience and adaptability. One of these spaces will be transformed into a premium ballroom and conference centre, while New Stage Productions plans to develop another area into a theatre to host medium-sized productions, expanding the possibilities for diverse events and cultural activities.

This exciting new chapter for New Stage Productions is fueled by the vision of Co-Producers Shane Brown, Vanessa Coogan, and Michael Moran: “We are passionate about fostering creativity and confidence through the arts. Our new venue represents a significant step forward in creating a vibrant community hub where everyone can come together to experience and celebrate the performing arts.”

To kick off the festive season, New Stage Productions has a lineup of events planned, including the Central Christmas Market, the Great Potter Trivia Quiz, the Young Stars Christmas and January Holiday Programme, Carols by Treelight on December 23rd, and an Enchanted Children’s Christmas Ball. And this is just the beginning!

The new venue will serve as an inclusive hub, supporting workshops, corporate functions, community events, and more. This space is poised to enhance both the local and national arts communities by offering an accessible, welcoming environment for all. Plans also include the development of a 160-seat auditorium.

New Stage Productions is dedicated to promoting the performing arts and creating inspiring experiences for people of all ages through a range of productions, events, and workshops that foster creativity and confidence across New Zealand.
