The wedding season and peaked and now slowing down a little giving us time to catch up with being 'social' on the flatforms.

From south of the Bombay's to north of Orewa, out west beyond Helensville and east along the coastal regions of the Hauraki Gulf, our girls have travelled some miles.

We got married a day after the Auckland floods so weren’t sure if any of our vendors would show up as planned. But Classic Limousine Company were super reliable and showed up on the day. Meet Karanga, who recently celebrated a grand milestone birthday. Her family treated her to the Ultimate Rolls-Royce Experience. She was chauffeured with her family to a best kept Auckland secret Beauford's Homestead at Totara Park where many more family gathered to celebrate.

Our Rolls-Royce Phantom V was not only used to Chauffeur Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip during their 1963 tour of New Zealand, but also in 1970. The Phantom V has been the centre piece in two New Zealand Royal Tours.

She has also transported the Queen's Mother, international diplomates, incoming ambassadors and VIP's over her ten year service to the New Zealand Government before being sold to a private individual.

It is understood that the car without the numberplate is our Rolls-Royce Phantom V that was used to chauffeur the Royals and is the Phantom V that Classic Limousine Company offers for chauffeur services today.

Did you know that John Lennon bought this 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V even before he had a drivers license? It was originally painted Valentine Black and had black leather upholstery.

John did many renovations to the car including installing a radio telephone and later a refrigerator unit in the trunk. However the car is most known for its unique (repainted) paintwork before the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the trailblazing psychedelic album.

The car is now preserved and on display at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria. With its bright chrome yellow body and floral side panels of dahlias and delphiniums, the Rolls-Royce on display in unlike any other. Its bonnet and boot are decorated with colourful curlicue scrollwork, and its roof sports a stylized symbol of Libra, Jonh's zodiac sign.

Along with other wedding event and planning experts we all had an exciting day meeting and chatting with couples planning their big day.

The Spirit of Ecstasy is the bonnet ornament sculpture on Rolls-Royce cars. It is in the form of a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her. Billowing cloth runs from her arms to her back, resembling wings.

The Silver Spur was the first Rolls-Royce to feature a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. The spring-loaded mascot sinks into the radiator shell if dislodged from its position. Betty, the new girl in our fleet is a Silver Spur and we have had many priceless moments with the retractable mascot surprising those who like to touch her.
