Cara & Dy took to the mountains with three chopper loads of guests, and although we didn’t get to Vanguard Peak for their ceremony I don’t think anyone was complaining when we landed here instead 🏔️

We have a one year old! ✨

I didn’t realise that planning a first birthday party would be so emotional, but then again I suppose this time last year we didn’t think we would be dads so soon…

It would be impossible to adequately thank everyone who has loved and supported us this past year. We only hope that you all know how much it has meant (and continues to mean) to us, and that we will forever be grateful.

It’s your wedding day - laugh, cry, kiss one another whenever you like (seriously, if you’ve just poured your heart out in your vows, give each other that kiss!)

I still well up a little whenever I think about Liz & Emily’s absolutely gorgeous wedding day… The two of them seeing each other at the top of the aisle (there were tears all round), the laughs we shared together, the way that they were just SO in love and were not afraid to show it - it was perfection 🖤

Look, I get that it might feel weird to show affection in front of a crowd of people (or maybe that’s not your thing, and that’s ok too!) But if you want to show your love on your wedding day - if you want to shower each other in kisses and just be you - but the people there with you are making you hold back, maybe it’s time to take a closer look at your guest list (or vendor choices…)

Em & RA’s big day was a long time coming, but absolutely worth the wait. I adored sharing the celebrations with them and their closest loved ones, and I had way too much fun writing a Taylor Swift inspired toast for these two Swifties (well, mainly Em!)

Thomas & Lorraine’s ceremony setup was something a little different (which is always cool to see!)

Having their guests seated all around them definitely made things feel more intimate, and the ‘arch’ styling by the team at AMoment sat perfectly beside Wonder And Full’s lakeside setting in Jacks Point 👌Not to mention the smell of Charlie Brown’s crepes wafting through the air post-ceremony was SO good!!

Don’t fancy sharing your vows in front of your friends and family? Then don’t!

Vows can be VERY personal, and not everyone is comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. The good news is, you don’t have to. If your celebrant incorporates the necessary legal wording elsewhere in your ceremony, then your vows do not have to be in the ceremony - you can exchange them whenever and wherever you like!

Ariana & Luke opted to share their vows post-ceremony, and I commend them for doing what felt right! 🤍

Today Pol and I celebrate six years married…

When we were both young, battling with who we really were and wondering if the world would accept us, the idea of getting married was something we never considered would be a possibility - yet here we are!

Another impossibility back then was the idea that we could have a family... But it turns out that finding love, knowing that you have a supporting community of friends and family around you, and living in a country that has taken great steps forward in the last few decades, means that a family wasn’t off the table for us either.

On this, our sixth wedding anniversary, words can’t describe how grateful I feel to celebrate not only with my wonderful, kind, hard-working husband, but also with the most delightful, happy, inquisitive, and cheeky little girl, Seren ⭐️

Thanks to Warren & Steph for capturing these memories for us several months ago (and one to show you how much she’s already changed!)

These gorgeous images from Megan & Jason’s Twin Peak adventure may be just the little reminder you need as to why you’d consider eloping…

Literally from the moment we met at the Alpine Heli hangar, through to waving our goodbyes after an epic couple of hours in the mountains, these two absolutely and wholeheartedly embraced who they are and what their love is all about. Their joy was radiant, and I think everyone’s cheeks were hurting from all the smiles and laughter… Legends!

Twenty minutes from downtown Queenstown, this Department of Conservation site is a great option for elopements and micro-weddings. The views speak for themselves!

Shel & Alex eloped ten years to the day since becoming official, and as they shared their vows amongst the golden grass of Cecil Peak you could tell that ten years has nothing on the whole lifetime they still have to look forward to together!

I’m so grateful to meet such lovely people like these two in this thing I call a ‘job’, and genuinely wish nothing but the absolute best for them in all of their adventures still to come (and I don’t doubt there will be plenty of those!!)

Olivia & Ryan’s wedding was what I would describe as the best of both worlds.

It began with an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest loved ones (with the best views in town thanks to the Eichardts’ penthouse!) and was followed up by some beautiful alone time atop an absolutely stunning Mt Crichton in the late afternoon light… Stunning!

Thanks to the gorgeous team for pulling such an incredible day together 🖤

Josh had been camping with his family in the Rees Valley since he was just a kid, so when it came to choosing where to marry Mats, the love of his life, nowhere could have been more perfect (I mean, just look at it!)

They didn’t only get married in this stunning and remote spot, they also managed to bring two bus loads of their favourite people out with them!

It was a truly magical day for two absolutely wonderful guys 🖤

It was the words ‘aspiring trophy husband’ that caught Heather’s eye online at the very start, and after an absolutely incredible few years together Kevin’s aspirations finally came to fruition…

Hailing all the way from Seattle, it was clear to see that both Kevin and Heather considered themselves winners 🏆 And seeing their love for one another during their mountaintop elopement, I have to say I agree!

Oh hey 2024… Where’d you come from?!

If I’m quite honest I haven’t entirely registered the new year, let alone what 2023 sent my way (especially over the past six months…)

Words could never accurately describe the amazing journey my whanau has been on as of late, but needless to say 2023 was one hell of a ride and will forever be a year I will NEVER forget.

Thank you to everyone who played in part in make it the year it was; couples, vendors, friends and loved ones alike - you’re all bloody legends!

One image doesn’t feel like enough, but it’s all I’ve got the energy for just now… Here’s Rhiannon and Christian lovin’ it up in the beautiful forest by one of my favourite places, Bob’s Cove.
