Lucy’s was created at my Mount Maunganui kitchen bench in 2015, and the first pieces of furniture created in a rundown shed in the middle of a shipping container yard in Tauranga. It was a tiny idea, with no money or experience behind it but the knowledge that there was something missing in the industry and I had the drive and determination to do it. And in our first season, we did a total of 9 weddings, with a total of 20 trestle tables and 40 bench seats.
Lucy’s now covers the whole North Island, from multiple depots and services approx 700 large scale events, weddings and parties. I would need a calculator to know how many pieces of furniture that now sit in our warehouses, but I do know that what we do and how we do it, is something that girl at her kitchen bench could only dream of.

Behind the scenes Lucy’s have been building our biggest project to date. 861 square meters of marquees for the prestigious ASB Classic. We are a very small but mighty company, doing what we do best for our clients and we couldn’t be prouder of our team behind such a huge and very complex build.

“Lucy and her amazing team are the absolute best in the business. The quality of the marquee, furniture and the service was above and beyond what we expected and it made our wedding day the best of our lives.

Nothing was ever a problem and everything had a solution or option which made everything so easy to plan. When the forecast looked terrible a few days out the team at Lucy’s helped me make quick changes like adding an extension to the marquee, adding furniture and even bringing the set up date forward. It just made everything stress free and fun.
