nemy's - Fight the power, These are just a few of my favourite tunes as a youngster, but also some of the most influential to my forever growing music collection now. Growing up in Waitangirua,Porirua East as a young New Zealand born samoan, who was also a closeted gay male ,was never a easy task. Music became the focal point to escape from my closeted lifestyle and blocked out the fear of being outed. Looking back to being an old school raver in my teens, to being a club kid in my 20's, but my love for all Electronic Music & Events were permanently embedded into my heart & soul when i moved to Sydney. Hanging out in the clubs every weekend in Kings Cross, Sydney, gave me the opportunity to be amongst the promoters and Djs running some of the best club nights and events, like Rouge Rocker on Friday Nights and Moulon Nights on Saturday. Djing was always something i knew i wanted to take up and living in Sydney made this happen so naturally for me. My first gig was when i moved back to Wellington 2007, which was a 2hour spot @ Twisted, which i won through a mixtape comp run by the organizersThe Matrix Crew. From there i played @ 3 other Twisted Parties, and a few private functions. I've kept DJing as a daily hobby over the last few years, playing @ home everyday after work and still crate digging but online. Now the opportunities to dj have presented themselves and im ready and excited to share my music collection. What to expect from DYSLEKTRK on the decks = Old & New School Raver/ Electro/ Tech House/ Acid/Minimal/Breaks/Dirty Beats/ Sexy House.
