8 games across 3 venues and the curtain comes down on our first regular season delivering home games for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.

Together with the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic staff and players, our passionate team of contractors, venue staff and volunteers and support from Netball New Zealand, we have experienced a 53% increase in attendance from 2023 season, including a sell out at Mercury Baypark in Tauranga and over 3000 turning up for our 25th anniversary game at Globox Arena, H3 Group NZ.

Its been great to learn about a new sport but also to add value by bringing our experience from other sports to Netball to grow and enchance the fan experience.

The season is not over with 2 away games to come with the team fighting hard for a place in the finals. Lets go Magic!

It’s been an absolute pleasure to be part of this team that brought the UCI BMX Racing BMX World Cup NZ to life.

An event 10 years in the dreams of many.

An event delivered on 95% volunteer power.

Hats off to all those who stepped up and showed the world what we can do. To all the partners, sponsors, volunteers, contractors and suppliers who were with us along the way. We hope you all know that you were part of something special and share in our pride.

Looking forward to joining the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic team as their Event and Fan Experience Manager for the 2024 season.

We will be joining a dedicated and passionate team to bring a full fan experience to our home games over the season.

Was great fun to be involved in something alittle bit different than what we are used to at the Great Kiwi Summer Festival last weekend.

Thankfully the weather was on brand and was great to be part of the inaugural event after a few false starts with Covid interuptions.

Special thanks to all those who supported the event either through exhibiting or spectating and a special mention to those organisations who provided their services for free which helped us make it a free event for the community to enjoy.

Thanks to Liz Stolwyk for bringing us onto the team and we look forward to 2024!

With the end of the 2023 UCI BMX Racing series - the BMX world is now starting to look at Rotorua as the first stop in the 2024 series.

It's been awesome to work with the event partners on bringing this event to Rotorua so far and excited for the months ahead to deliver two days of awesome BMX racing action in February.

This event means so much to so many people and happy to be playing a part.

Ticket go on sale to the public 1 November.

What a week to end our time at Lake Karapiro with the venue hosting Aon Maadi Regatta.

Have learnt a lot over the past 12 months around site and venue management that I know will be great experience to take forward.

Will also never underestimate the work it takes to run a venue of this size and never take for granted a clean public toilet 🤣

Moving into a big project next - hopefully get to more announce soon!

We have been a member for a few years now and have attended a number of the National Conferences and webinars where you always come away being more informed and energised after connecting with the best in the sector. We were also very proud to receive the 2016 New Zealand Major Events Scholarship.
