Sitting inside in the pouring rain feeling very thankful old Chch has been spared the worst of cyclone Gabrielle and for the beautiful weather we had for our annual summer soirée last Saturday.

I'm already plotting my annual summer soiree for this summer and sending out those save the dates. Last year was such a blast.

These ice buckets were an absolute hit. I used two different sized buckets, a brick and flowers from the garden - you do need a chest freezer though!

My daughter has the dreaded lurgy. So far the rest of us are in the clear.

Had to cancel my first 'non-test' booking on Queens Birthday 😪. AND my mid winter celebration I was hosting on Saturday before my sister and many friends all jet off on holiday back home (UK) over the school hols.

Anyone for some lamb?? 😃

This flavour packed leg of lamb is coated in a super tasty middle eastern style rub and slow cooked for maximum juiciness.

And it's pumpkin season so old lamby lamb is accompanied by roasted pumpkin, yoghurt and a coriander sauce. Yum!
