We are focusing on our Christmas events currently but thought we would put a taster of what's to come for New Years Eve with The 2024 Marlborough District Council NYE, Picton Foreshore Event! With Ray White Blenheim & Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries on board as sponsors this year, we have a fantastic Kids Zone added for families to enjoy along with the usual lineup of main stage entertainment, stalls and fireworks!
Please note NO BUSES this year.

Sleigh bells are starting to ring! We're excited to be bringing the Marlborough District Council Blenheim Christmas Parade on Sat 14th Dec. With a fully booked line-up we have a Christmas extravaganza for you with the biggest number and variety of floats to date! Kicking off at 2.45pm with a meet and greet with the big man himself in Market Place. A festive Christmas concert at 3pm to keep you entertained while you wait for the grand parade starting at 3.30pm from Blenheim School grounds & John Street.

Wow what a week of amazing Jazz at Southern Jam Youth Jazz Festival! Congratulations to all our winners - particularly Hagley College who won many individual awards, along with Best Combo and Best Overall Winning Band. Also delighted for Rangi Ruru Girls' School winning Best Ensemble and Christchurch Boys' High School winning The Rodger Fox Menorial award for Best Big Band. All our students shine and were winners in their own rights - participating in masterclasses with internationally recognised musicians, performing across the region at public venues and having the opportunity to showcase their music to the next generation at Primary Schools. The brainchild of Katrina Lange, (previously CEO of Marlborough 4 Fun), Pure Events Marlborough is the region’s newest event planning and management service.
Pure Events Marlborough offers an innovative approach to full-service event management, offering clients a bespoke service that allows them to tap into twenty years of expertise. Additionally, clients benefit from Katrina’s close relationships with Marlborough’s top venues, contractors and ticketing agents, New Zealand’s best music management and artists and a comprehensive list of sponsors and potential funding sources.
With a detail-orientated approach, Katrina has delivered some of Marlborough’s most-loved corporate events, community events and festivals.
In her previous role as CEO for Marlborough 4 Fun, Katrina was responsible for running over ten significant events each year. She also established Ocean Vine Hop, New Zealand’s very first R18 festival to combine and celebrate the local flavours of seafood, wine and beer. Since stepping down from her role at M4Fun Katrina has also been contracted to organise and manage numerous events.
These have included:
- Multicultural Festival March 2020 – Which saw increased funding, attendance and overall success under Katrina’s management.
- Tuia 250 entertainment and its associated Fly My Pretties Concert.
Now, as owner and operator of Pure Events Marlborough, Katrina offers her decades of experience to companies, trusts and community committees; brilliantly delivering successful fundraising events, festivals, award nights and conferences.
