First thing Tuesday we'll be jumping on the boat and coming over to see in 2025 with you at the Marlborough District Council New Years Eve Celebrations in Picton!

With such a great lineup of entertainment, this is the place to be - and from 10pm we'll be launching into all our favourite party anthems...taking you right up to countdown time.

Great entertainment from 7pm today for the whole family and brining in the New Year with fabulous firework show over the water at midnight

Thousands lined the streets to watch the Marlborough District Council’s Marlborough District Council Blenheim Christmas Parade Blenheim Christmas Parade. What a fabulous job all the participants did with their floats and dress ups - we wish we could give you all prizes! Winners this year were: Best Community Foat - Churchwood Park Scouts Best Walking Group - Chinese Association Best Overall Float - Kaha Basket Ball Club Thanks to Subway, Stadium 2000, Trevs Truck Service, Pure Events Marlborough and Pak n Save for providing prizes. Big thank you to our sponsors Marlborough Lines, Summerset Retirement Village and BPC and volunteers Blenheim Lions Club. Happy Christmas to you all!

A few changes for a couple of the events we produce on behalf of Marlborough District Council this year! Blenheim Christmas Parade will be Sat 14th December enabling us to work with Christmas in the Park. The Annual New Years Eve Picton Concert will take place on the foreshore Tuesday 31st December and will have additional kid friendly entertainment! Watch this space and Follow-ME Marlborough Events for more detailed info in the coming months 🎅🏻 🎆 😊

Wow what a week of amazing Jazz at Southern Jam Youth Jazz Festival! Congratulations to all our winners - particularly Hagley College who won many individual awards, along with Best Combo and Best Overall Winning Band. Also delighted for Rangi Ruru Girls' School winning Best Ensemble and Christchurch Boys' High School winning The Rodger Fox Menorial award for Best Big Band. All our students shine and were winners in their own rights - participating in masterclasses with internationally recognised musicians, performing across the region at public venues and having the opportunity to showcase their music to the next generation at Primary Schools. Full house at the finale Gala concert - amazing atmosphere and fabulous team effort! The brainchild of Katrina Lange, (previously CEO of Marlborough 4 Fun), Pure Events Marlborough is the region’s newest event planning and management service.

Pure Events Marlborough offers an innovative approach to full-service event management, offering clients a bespoke service that allows them to tap into twenty years of expertise. Additionally, clients benefit from Katrina’s close relationships with Marlborough’s top venues, contractors and ticketing agents, New Zealand’s best music management and artists and a comprehensive list of sponsors and potential funding sources.

With a detail-orientated approach, Katrina has delivered some of Marlborough’s most-loved corporate events, community events and festivals.

In her previous role as CEO for Marlborough 4 Fun, Katrina was responsible for running over ten significant events each year. She also established Ocean Vine Hop, New Zealand’s very first R18 festival to combine and celebrate the local flavours of seafood, wine and beer. Since stepping down from her role at M4Fun Katrina has also been contracted to organise and manage numerous events.
