A little project update to remind myself we have made some progress.this project included 33 hydrangas and lots of other plants.

Trialing bed prep with coir as a mulch. With much higher water retention and absolutely no hidden weed seed compared to compost, I am super interested to see how it performs. if you are interested

The reason there have been very few flower photos/progress is because...
Our only kitchen/bathroom tap and shower for the last 22 weeks has been this but it just got UPGRADED. Unfinished but feels soooo good to have running water and a shower inside! Let's hope this shower stays hot and the shower won't keep blowing away.
Looking forward to finding more time for the garden soon and sharing the progress.

The truth about Pope John Paul ll from .
This particular rose was 1 of 2 roses given to me by my husband as a gift last year. When I found out there were rose gifts arriving, I was filled with excitement and expectation. Knowing that only months earlier, I had shown him countless pictures of David Austin roses in blush pinks and dusky apricots that I was keen to purchase. Oh did l have expectations. So, to be brutally honest, when I received 2 white Hybrid Teas I was a little underwhelmed and somewhat ungrateful, some would say.
Well, as I have now enjoyed the perfume of just 1 rose for the past 24hrs in the house. I owe my husband an apology it was a beautiful and thoughtful gift. You chose well babe! .alison.9dxdrdrdxcrdcfdr2

And some more truths about it, it looks like a really strong grower, lots of buds and great stem length!
