Phew! We did it 🤩

Despite a turbulent journey preparing for February and then postponing until November, we pulled off an amazing Friday and Sunday last weekend.

Now to start planning for Wings Over Wairarapa 2025 ✈️

The skies have quietened, the last aircraft has touched down, and the time has come to bid adieu to Wings Over Wairarapa November 2023! What a weekend (and year!) it has been!

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us today for an exhilarating experience in the air and on the ground. From the heart-stopping aerobatics to the ground-shaking displays, we hope you felt the adrenaline rush as much as we did! 🙌🔥

Let's not forget the excitement that took flight on Friday, November 24, during the Take Flight schools day and practice day. It was a peek into the world of aviation magic, and we hope to have inspired you all into a career in aviation and STEM.

A special shout-out and heartfelt thanks go to our incredible partners and sponsors who helped make Wings Over Wairarapa possible. Your support has been the wind beneath our wings, and we are immensely grateful.

As the marquees come down and the sun sets on another fantastic Wings Over Wairarapa, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for being a part of this aviation extravaganza. ✈️🌅

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori me Cactus - Te Reo Māori language week with Cactus

Kia Kaha Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori - Te Reo Māori week's 2023 theme is making the language stronger... For us this isn't just a week but a conscious effort and small improvements every day to include Te Reo into our everyday activities and work. At our most recent team planning days, we got together and practised our individual Mihi and talked about ways we can incorporate Te Reo further into our lives. Little by little efforts like this can make sure that Te Reo Māori stays strong 💪🏾

Whilst we didn't take home the Vibrant Gold award, we are so proud of the unforgettable experience we have made together with the support of the wineries, the foodies, major sponsor Provincial Insurance Brokers and all of the epic festival goers.

We LOVE delivering events and thrive on a good challenge 💪

Combined, we bring over 52 years of event management, 47 years of marketing experience, and 28 years of sponsorship expertise to the table!! How about about that for some epic experience?!

Some of our more unique talents also include: reciting the entire Evita Musical from start to finish, driving a vintage 1933 Austin 7 "Baby", Professional Fairy children's entertainer, Perform as "Donkey" from Shrek, Solve a 1000 piece puzzle in 3 hours (world record is 1hr 40min), recite every word from the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie, Sing almost every lyric from the entire Spice Girls catalogue of music and someone may or may not be working on their Ventriloquism skills 😜

We're a multi-talented bunch 😁🫶

We were so humbled to have been part of such an important day for the Te Omanga Hospice annual Vintner's Lunch - what a beautiful day raising money for the much needed and very special services they provide to our community.

A big thank you to just some of the many groups and people we worked with the create a magical day - The Amazing Chefs, David Downs, Lower Hutt Event Centre, Society Event Entertainment, Gilmours Wellington, Matahiwi Estate, Streamliner Productions, Sotheby's, and the volunteers who help make the day!

An amazing $220,000 was raised at the lunch which we know will make such a huge difference. We love being able to work with clients like this for such incredible causes 🫶

We had the honour of rubbing shoulders with some talented musicians, and performers. And we can't forget the challenging weather... Mother Nature had her own plans, sending very un-summer-like surprises our way.

Throughout it all, we were reminded of the unwavering passion that drives us. We love what we do, and we're committed to creating unforgettable experiences for all festival-goers.

Earlier this week some of our team got together in our very best pink tops (props to Ryan's pink tie!) to have a Pink Ribbon Breakfast. 🎀

Nine out of ten of our team are women and statistically breast cancer affects one in nine NZ women over their lifetime!!! Breast cancer is the most common cancer for Kiwi women and the third most common cancer overall. So with that in mind, Cactus has committed to donating to the Pink Ribbon fund for breast cancer education, research and patient support. 🎀 🎀
