Our presenter Pierre Nixon brings you up to date with the latest Canterbury sport news.

This week in Canterbury Sport is brought to you by Agstaff.

Alana Bremner, a legend in the making, has recently been named a Black Fern for the first time.

Captain of the Canterbury Farah Palmer Cup team, Alana is the epitome of a team player that leads by example. An agile and athletic loose forward/lock that creates opportunity with her amazing skill, Alana's also a try scoring machine herself.

Alana is the first women's player to gain 50 matches for her club, Lincoln University. She captained the New Zealand Barbarians team in 2020, and also played her 50th game for Canterbury earlier this year.

Our presenter Jess Dermody caught up with Alana on what it means to represent our country.

We can't wait for the Black Ferns to take on England and France in their upcoming Northern Tour in Europe.

All the best Alana!

So this week in Canterbury sport, our presenter Pierre Nixon brings you up to speed with what sports are going ahead and what sports have been postponed following the delta outbreak.

If you think we’ve missed your favourite sport, comment below and we will update you.
