Tried to do a 30-50sec elevator pitch to apply for a start up prize.

Look at all the multiple takes 🤪

I wanted to:
* be cultural and do my pepeha but kept forgetting my lines 🤦🏻‍♀️
* be trendy so slicked my hair back, slapped on some lippy and chucked them teardrop earrings on 😉
* keep it delightful so spoke with a smile 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷 (show them pearly whites!!!)
• rid all the background noise so closed all the windows - sweated like a dog with the arvo sun 🥵
* get it done asap before I had to cook and get greasy and gross.

Moments like this I often motivate myself with ‘squid game’ style, ‘if I don’t get it perfect the first time, I’ll die.’

Altogether, I think it took me 30 minutes so not too shabby. 👏🏼🙋🏻‍♀️😻🙌🏼🙈🙊🙏🏼😅

Just did a wedding for a lovely couple, Nicola and Aidan. They tied the knot and celebrated their love not long after New Years. Nicola wanted a minimalist rustic theme and had a budget. We discussed some options and managed to find something she’s happy with. These are what I made: ceremony arch, centrepiece vases, place cards, a boutonnière and a bridal bouquet

Hope it was a magical dreamy day as the newlyweds envisioned. Can’t wait to see the wedding photos!

Such a fantastic way to ‘recycle’ and keep your (or friends’) special day memorable!

Much cheaper to do it this way than getting a custom-designed wreath from me.

I am fast becoming…
‘the woman that does shadow boxes.’

This is my 5th box for the year already 🙊

Really struggled (took forever!) with the first one but just like my wreaths, I was determined to master it.

I get better by the box now - much faster, design is more fancy pants and most importantly I’m not super stressed anymore.

Hope this encourages someone to keep at what you do and don’t give up - success is only one more practice away x

Allie gave me her gorgeous wedding bouquet and her husband’s buttonhole and asked me to dry and fit them in a white framed shadow box.

Because the flowers were dried and brittle, it was WAY HARDER than it looks to fit every stem in in it’s original form without the petals falling apart. Finally got there in the end.🤪

Think I need tweezers for my next shadow box work😅
