What a wonderful weekend we had piloting our development retreat: 'Ngā Waiata Poipoia' !
5 talented musicians joined us for a weekend of intensive learning, collaboration, getting inspired, and recording original music. It was awesome, the group was super cool and supportive of each other.
We were honored to have support from experts such as Barnaby Weir from the The Black Seeds , Rebecca Johnson from Taranaki Arts Festival Trust / WOMAD New Zealand producer Graeme Woller and photographer Joaco Dibbern
This was a pilot program, in collaboration with Matt Sephton from the Coro Sonic Lab and supported by Ministry for Culture and Heritage, we definitely hope to do it again!
