Pink Shirt Day 2024 🩷
Cater Plus are so proud to be involved in the movement to stamp out bullying in the workplace and replace it with a PINK celebration, promoting kindness and inclusion 🙌👏🫶
Our sites got right behind Pink Shirt Day Aotearoa this year! Whether it was turning the kitchen pink, decorating cupcakes and pink treats or putting on a pink shirt and some accessories - the response was overwhelming from our Cater Plus team!
The Cater Plus Foundation has donated $1,000 to Pink Shirt Day for the huge effort put in by each and every one of our staff!

When you think about connecting food with Anzac Day, what do you think of first? Typically, it's the classic Anzac Biscuit.
As Anzac Day is nearing, we thought of offering an alternative way to honour the day - introducing the Anzac Cheesecake! (recipe below)
Anzac Cheesecake
Ingredients:
200g cups rolled oats
90g cup plain flour
70g cup desiccated coconut
75g butter
60ml golden syrup
60g brown sugar
500g cream cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
135g caster sugar
3 eggs
For the golden syrup caramel:
60g butter
52g brown sugar
115g golden syrup
2 tbsp cream
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 150C/130C if fan forced. Grease and line the base of a 20 cm round cake pan.
2. Combine rolled oats, flour, and desiccated coconut in a mixing bowl. Place butter, golden syrup, and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until melted and smooth. Stand for 2 minutes and then add the butter mixture to the flour mixture. Mix well to combine. Press the mixture over the base and side of the prepared pan, leaving a 1cm border around the top edge of the pan.
3. Using a mixer, beat cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until just combined. Pour the mixture into the pan. Level the top with a spatula. Place the pan on a baking tray. Bake for 50 minutes or until the filling is just set but the centre is still wobbly. Turn the oven off. Cool cheesecake in the oven for 1 hour with the door slightly open. Once set refrigerate overnight.
4. Meanwhile, make Golden syrup caramel: Place butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes or until smooth. Stir in cream. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool slightly.
5. Remove the cheesecake from the pan. Stand cheesecake and sauce at room temperature for 10 minutes. Drizzle golden syrup caramel over the centre of the cheesecake. Serve.

Mystery Box - Operations Edition
Last week we challenged our Operations team (and our finance leaders) to participate in a mystery box challenge. The result, an all encompassing passion for food combined with a lot of laughs and fun. We loved seeing our leaders get behind the bench and cook up a storm in this cool setting.
This week we held our Cater Plus Workshop to ignite passion and share our vision for 2021.
This workshop will be hitting the road over the coming months as we share in all our regions.
Here's a quick snap of our first in Auckland !
Happy Birthday Week Cater Plus! This Saturday is our 15th birthday but we are celebrating all week long. Do you have a photo of Cater Plus throughout the years? We would love to see it!
