I knew it would be a big project but I was so determined to make it happen! Bringing the elements of classic, French elegance with a modern twist and highlighting all the beautiful vendors who made this vision of mine come to life

A little sunshine for your Frida💛

Finished off my week with some flower play, using leftover blooms that have definitely seen better days.

I’m loving this colour pallet lately, the softness of these lemon yellow marigolds and vibrance of the statement (yet somewhat sad looking) neon Dahlia is a little ode to the ending summer season.

Why invest in wedding flowers if they are just going to die? Great question, I’m glad you asked!

Before we dive in use like to take a second to bring attention to cake that will be consumed, dress and suits that’ll be worn (most likely once!), music that will fade, makeup that’ll be washed off & Champaign that will leave you feeling "not too fresh". 🤔

🌸Aside from the photography flowers will be around longer than any other aspect of your day and will stay alive for days after the event long after leftover cake is dry and stale

🌸flowers stimulate all senses and envelope a space with colour, sent & texture. They attract our attention, if you want to create an immersive visual experience for you and your guests flowers make the most sense over everything else!

🌸Flowers are what dress the space and the people and add a sense of celebration. Can you think of any other day where you get to carry a bouquet of perfectly designed flowers, made just for you? Those blooms shout "I’m in love, I’m getting married, today is my day!"

🌸Ready for me to hit you with the true facts?.. Just looking at flowers releases dopamine the literal hormone that makes us HAPPY! Why would we you fill every square inch of the happiest day of your life with happiness? The aesthetic pleasure of flowers goes far beyond mere vision, to smell, movement and stimulates autobiographic memory which is why flowers are often associated with emotional memories!

I mean when someone says they don’t like flowers cause they just die it’s like saying "I don’t like birthdays cause they only last one day" or "I don’t like cake cause it gets eaten and runs out"
Beauty is fleeting!

Flowers continue to influence our current experience with the integral part they play in our happy memories
