Artz On Show run school holiday Workshops that educate students in all facets of the performing arts!

We offer a variety of Performing Arts classes for one week during the School Holidays where our students work towards performing in a Final Showcase. Each Workshop has a different theme which inspires our creative choices in the music and script.

🕺 Tutor Spotlight! 🕺

Meet Amira!

Hi, I'm Amira! I'm 19 and I've just finished my first year at the University of Waikato, where I'm completing a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology. I've been involved in the performing arts since I was very young, and over the years I have taken lessons in dance, drama, and vocals.

Since beginning at Artz On Show I have taught drama, characterisation, vocals, hip hop, jazz, and a couple of specialist classes. I love teaching at Artz On Show because it is such a great opportunity to share my love of the Artz with the students and I enjoy seeing their growth, not just in skill but in confidence.

We’re so lucky to have Amira as part of our Hamilton team!

The magic of performing 🪄

Being on stage helps children build their confidence in so many ways, including speaking clearly, working as a team, trying something new, and feeling proud of their progress. Children learn to trust themselves, take risks, and celebrate who they are!

At Artz On Show, all children have the opportunity to shine on stage and showcase everything they've learned throughout the Workshop. They step into the spotlight with confidence, celebrate their hard work, and experience the excitement of performing for an audience.🕺

Sketch, animate, and bring your ideas to life! ✏️🎬

In our Animation class, children explore characters, expressions, and storytelling through art. From simple sketches to playful animations, they experiment with shapes, movement, and creative techniques. It’s a fun, hands-on class where imagination is encouraged!

This holidays we’re exploring the world of Mufasa... a story full of bravery, family, and friendship!

🦁 Mufasa’s name comes from a Manazoto word meaning “king.”
🌅 The Pride Lands are built around the idea of the Circle of Life — a key theme in Mufasa’s story.
🐾 Taka (later Scar) and Mufasa’s names reflect their paths: Mufasa meaning royalty, Taka meaning “want” or “desire.”

Our Mufasa Workshops are full of creativity, music, movement, and magic – the perfect way for children to explore their own courage and imagination!
