For ninety years, five generations of the Jonkers family have farmed the land at Puketotara. Because Jonkers Farm is 540 acres of isolated paradise, it is also a global destination for film, events, corporate functions, woodland weddings and rustic weddings. Situated near the wild west coast of Bethells Beach, Jonkers Farm boasts views of both the west and east coast, including Muriwai, Bethells Beach, Kaipara Harbour, Auckland City and the Sky Tower.
The bright and beautiful Italian dish that is the Caprese Salad is made of sliced fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and sweet basil, seasoned with salt and olive oil. A great choice to add a dose of freshness to your menu 🍅
It's finally December - which officially marks the start of Summer (yippee!) ☀️
I know we all have our fingers crossed for a hot one this season - especially those summer brides - so let's chat about making your summer event a success under the sun.
🌞 Protect your guests from the elements. We all know the NZ sun is pretty harsh, so make sure you arrange plenty of shade if you’re entertaining outside. Marquees, outdoor umbrellas, and natural shade are all great choices.
🧴 Sunscreen and insect repellent are crucial. New Zealand sun is piping during the day, and our mozzies love a feed at dusk. The guests who have forgotten to slip, slop, slap will thank you for this.
💧 Hydration, hydration, hydration! Play around with fun non-alcoholic beverages to keep your guests well hydrated. Try adding cucumber or citrus to your water - or add on one of our LittleWolf homemade lemonade dispensers.
🥗 Consider a roaming menu. A casual roaming option is a great way to provide delicious food throughout the event, without guests having to be seated in one place.
🧊 Keep it cool. Chill your beverages down in ice bins so that the fridge isn’t open every few minutes (we are yet to meet a person who prefers a warm beer!).

Meet our Event and Marketing Manager, Andrea 👋
Andrea came into the catering industry by complete accident! After completing a BCom/BSc and heading off on her travels overseas, she came back to New Zealand absolutely broke (as do most people after their OE!) ✈️ She then applied for a three-month temp role at LittleWolf - and now five and a bit years later, she's still here managing events and marketing!
A random fact about Andrea is that she is a qualified National Level Artistic Gymnastics Coach & Reformer Pilates Instructor 🤸♀️ You go girl!
Andrea's top tip for a wedding is to stock up on sunscreen and insect repellent for your summer wedding - your guests will be extremely thankful for it! 🌞🧴
