Knock Knock Events is a Tauranga-based event management business with a passion for delivering high-quality event experiences. We’ve worked with many top brands, organisations, and performers on hundreds of events all across New Zealand.
After almost six years and over 150 events, Knock Knock Events is going dark for a while! With new commitments, reduced capacity and a change of cities we’re no longer taking on any new projects for the foreseeable future. You may still see us pop up at various events from time to time but our focus now lies in other exciting areas of the events industry. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with us for the last few years, it’s been a great ride!
A few weeks ago we managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Sydney to check out Vivid Sydney which was unreal! So many incredible artworks and installations and plenty of things that have inspired us for some upcoming projects. Can’t wait to get back next year!

Using the ocean's data and user input via smartphones, visitors can interact in real-time with the artwork and, therefore, contribute to the artwork itself. Another Ocean becomes alive as more people interact with it over the course of the festival.

We are thrilled to present, in partnership with Knock Knock Events, Ngā Uri o Muturangi TMT Aotearoa, Downtown Tauranga and Creative New Zealand... the After Dark Urban Light Festival - Tauranga.
When the sun goes down and night creeps in, Tauranga city centre will be transformed by an illuminated tapestry of creative expression. Static structures come alive as they become canvases for incredible imagery that will showcase the city in a new light.
Buildings, alleyways, and public spaces will be taken over by light, moving images, and expressive artworks that will bring the city to life.
After Dark Urban Light Festival is an all-new creative experience that will take over Tauranga’s city centre for ten days in May 2022 with an exciting selection of illuminated artworks. The festival will see ordinary buildings and structures across the city transformed into extraordinary visual masterpieces through the use of high-tech projection mapping and other digital technologies. The festival will also reinvent public spaces with lighting installations, interactive components and standalone artworks.

The New Zealand Event Association (NZEA) is working closely with the central government in order to assess what kind of sector support may be required regarding the current COVID-19 situation impacting the events industry.

We may have been a bit quiet on social media lately but there’s a lot happening in our world! We’ve got a bunch of exciting projects on the go including the opening of K Valley with Tauranga City Council, Curate Church Mt Maunganui Team Conference 2019, A Night Before Christmas, ongoing work with Mount Maunganui Mainstreet, and some other exciting projects in the pipeline to be revealed later this year!

We're stoked to be working with Curate Church again this year helping them organise Team Conference 2019. Team Conference is a chance for anyone who serves on a team or is interested in serving on a team at any of the four Curate locations (Curate Church Mt Maunganui, Curate Church Tauranga, Curate Church Whakatane, Curate Church Auckland).
We're anticipating another sold-out event this year and we've got some cool little tricks up our sleeves to make Team Conference super fun for all attending!

MELTED - Ice Cream and Frozen Dessert Festival
IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE
Hello everyone, Luke from Knock Knock Events here. I wanted to give you an update on MELTED Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Festival which was due to take place on Saturday 9th February. Unfortunately, due to many reasons outside of our control, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
We have been working hard to secure our final vendors and contributors, many of whom had previously committed to attend MELTED. Unfortunately, over the last few weeks, a number of our vendors have withdrawn from the event due to factors outside of our and their control. We have been working around the clock to try to secure the best possible contributors but sadly have been unable to lock in the high-quality offerings that have been promoted and which ultimately this festival is built on.
As you can imagine it’s not an easy decision to cancel any event and rest assured we have done everything we can to source alternative offerings and create an amazing event as planned. However, with so many factors outside of our control, we feel that it’s not fair to our current and prospective ticket holders continue to run this event when it would no longer represent the experience that has been advertised.
While we could still provide an entertaining and immersive festival site, this event relies on being able to provide suitable product offerings in line with the festival’s intended purpose. As we are no longer able to provide the product selection required to create this festival, there is no other option but to cancel the event.
All existing ticket holders have been advised of the event cancellation and will receive a full refund to their registered credit/debit card within 10 working days.
On behalf of the organising team, I am very sorry that MELTED Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Festival will no longer proceed and for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.

We’re blessing the rains with Toto tonight at looking after accreditation. We’re here again tomorrow for A Summer’s Day of Disco.
We were lucky enough to be part of this amazing event. A Night Before Christmas 2018 was bigger and better in every way this year. Knock Knock Events managed the Operations and Production of the event again this year and we loved being involved.
Huge thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who gave their time to make A Night Before Christmas happen, the many delicious food vendors we worked with, the talented performers who took to the stage, Boom Boom Fireworks for the amazing fireworks display, The Production Co. for all of our production requirements, and Bethlehem Baptist Church for presenting such an incredible event. Bring on 2019!
