- I HATE having my photo taken, I'd so much rather hide behind the camera than be in front of it!

But it's kind of hard to avoid when you're a small business owner, and on social media. My solution? Skip the selfies and get professional business shots.

TIP 1: Find a photographer who "gets" you, that you're comfortable with. Get recommendations from friends and don't be afraid to talk to a few before you decide on the right one!

TIP 2: Find a location in your comfort zone. Somewhere you're more likely to be relaxed. Business shots don't have to be taken in a studio (unless you want them to be). Go to your local cafe, hang out at the beach, in your backyard, or on your fav shopping street.

TIP 3: Take several different outfits and get a variety of shots. That way you'll have content that can fit a multitude of uses and give you great value for money.

TIP 4: Pay a little extra to have your hair and make-up done for you. It's a nice bit of pampering that will give your confidence a boost and your photos that extra polish.

There are so many emotions that go along with listing your home for sale. Now I can honestly say that I know how it feels! The home of LAVAL Photo & Video is on the market!

Getting the photo and video just right for my own property was a challenge to say the least but thankfully I had the amazing Olivia Spacefully Yours to help me with her talent of putting the right things in the right places. Staging and styling a property for marketing purposes makes the world of difference.
