Thank you to Cordis, Auckland for having us at today's Heartfelt Wedding Showcase❤️

We loved styling the Vista Rooms up on the 10th floor.

On one side we styled a Bridal Shower High Tea and on the other an intimate Wedding Reception.

Thank you to Champers Party Shop for our balloon photo backdrop, the The Party Box Company for providing the hens party game box and Lara Friday Design for our table stationery.

Happy Birthday to us! Today is our 20th birthday! 🥳

It blows my mind🤯 how quickly time goes and that it was 20 years ago I started this business.

A few months ago I was thinking maybe I should do something special, have a party or dinner but at this time of year things go a little crazy and we get too busy decorating everyone else's parties then have one for ourselves.
So instead I will enjoy a glass of bubbles with my feet up 🥂

🔔 Do you have a favourite style of wedding?
All of them have a special beauty in it but I have to say I love rustic, bohemian, vintage style weddings. I think it just helps to create a more relaxed yet detailed look

🔔 What tip would you give brides for their wedding makeup?
If possible have a trial session which will give the bride confidence on how she will look on her wedding day. I will recommend having this session no more than 2 months before your wedding day. Also do not have any facial treatment too close to your wedding day, you never know how your skin will react.

Next in our installment of the Essentials List we have Dinnerware/Glassware & Furniture 🍽🪑

Depending on your venue this may already be included but we've known Insphire Group for over 15 years (before they even were Insphire!) and happily recommend them whenever our clients do have these requirements.

In particular I love their Wooden Tables and Crystal Glassware. 🥂

🔔 Elevator Pitch:
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, we like to call ourselves your one stop shop for event hire. We have a large range of tables, chairs, dinnerware, glassware and plenty of décor for any event. Here at Insphire, our friendly team is committed to making your event a success!

🔔 Favourite wedding style:
I love a rustic garden party styled wedding. String lights, wood, tea lights and anything cozy, making for a more intimate and homely vibe. This laid back style is great for a backyard wedding in the summer or spring time.

🔔 Tips for tableware hire:
* Be consistent! Having a mood board and colour palette for the overall feel of the wedding is best before choosing the table/dinnerware to make sure everything comes together.

* Create layers! Build your table settings by layering texture, materials and décor. For example, charger plates, linen/napkins, table runners, statement glassware and cutlery.

* Be practical! Your table needs to be functional. A share-style/platter menu will need a larger table to mix and move dinnerware around, where a set menu dinner doesn’t need any extra room for plates. We also recommend that you allow for 1.5 meters between each table for guests to move from their chairs easily.

This is an oldie from a showcase we did years ago but I love this Ombre Centrepiece! ❤💗🤍

We started at one end with dark red velvet roses, transitioned through bright, light & dusky pinks and finished off at white.

Simply stunning!

🔔 Elevator pitch:
I'm a wedding and event photographer. And I absolutely love doing what I do. Photographing people having a blast and enjoying themselves is the best thing ever. My style of photography is vibrant, upbeat and edgy. When I photograph people, we have fun and laugh a lot. This way they feel relaxed and at ease while I'm photographing them. And that makes for awesome photos.

🔔 Do you have a favourite style of wedding?
My fave weddings are the ones where couples are being themselves and doing their own thing. So, alternative and modern weddings are right up there for me.

🔔 What tip would you give wedding couples for their photo's?
If you can, do an engagement shoot before your wedding day. Doing a shoot like this with your wedding photographer will give you a chance to find your groove in front of the camera, and feel more comfortable about being photographed. It's like a warm up for your wedding day photos.

I can't help myself so here are a couple more tips. When you're being photographed, if you don't know where to look, look at your partner. If you don't know what to do with your hands when your photo is being taken, take your partner's hands and get nice 'n' close.

We've caught the collab bug 🐛

Inspired by our sister company Soul Sister Events NZ where we often get to collaborate with other fabulous women in business and social settings, we want to do that more over here at A Touch of Class. 🙌

There are some fantastic businesses in this wedding & event industry and it would be silly not to highlight them 💫 Many we have worked alongside for years and can trust and vouch for their work.

I can't spill everything now...as then what would I use for social media fodder over the coming weeks! 😉

But as a teaser we'll be creating an 'Essentials List'. A list of businesses we recommend for each component of your wedding or event. ✅

So as I try to be good and post on a more regular basis 🙄 keep an eye out for who we recommend.

Keep the colour palette simple so they complement your decor, not take over it.

And remember you don't have to go with a traditional bow 🎀 Take a modern approach with a band, add a Droplet or Pearl Strand. Or even no band at all.
