Having to go between what feels like a hundred companies with separate visions, meetings, billings and locations can turn the special moments into a confusing chore. But… there are some things all the love of flowers and experience can’t help with.
WIND 💨
So many couples are opting for plinth flowers these days, which I love because they are my favourite look. But they need to be stable and those supports are sometimes visible. In the past I have been forbidden (yes, it was intense) from adding any supports because they damaged the venues lawn. The flowers ended up on the floor.
SUMMER HEAT 🌞
There are tips and tricks and things we can do, but your flowers will wilt on hot days. Not all of them by any means, but some! Garden flowers are especially vulnerable to this. There’s a whole bunch of science behind it that is really interesting to learn about 🤓 but just know, the elements usually win.
COLLAPSING SUPPORTS 💔
This will sound harsh but I say it with love. If you buy a $50 circle arch intended for balloons from Looksharp, and hang heavy flowers from it, it will break. Don’t skimp out on your structural integrity unless you’re down for a last minute change.

I LOVE what I do and I’m pretty good at it. I will always trouble shoot and go out of my way to fix things! But hopefully there’s nothing to fix in the first place 😉. My clients know that if there’s ever a concern I let them know way in advance and we work together to source different options. But if there are no warning signs ahead of time I just gotta do what I gotta do on the day💪🏻🌸
