There are so many reasons to choose a Celebrants Aotearoa celebrant.

Firstly, you are gaining the assurance of employing a celebrant who belongs to the national professional body, a celebrant who has passed the association’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards test, and a person who, more often than not, is committed to ongoing professional development with a strong network of fellow celebrants to call on if needed.

Our celebrants are experienced, passionate and dedicated to the ceremonies they perform and you can rest assured knowing you’re in the best hands possible.

Almost the end of the summer 2024 wedding season for me. It's been a lovely summer, meeting some gorgeous couples and such a privilege to help them on their way as a married couple.

Yesterday's wedding was at Oreti Village Resort on the southern shores of Lake Taupō. A truly stunning spot. A beautiful couple in Nicole & Mark and I wish them all the best for their married life.

An awesome couple of days up the Whanganui River for a wedding. The ceremony was held at the airstrip on whānau land in between showers. So happy to be part of Arohaina & Josh's special day. 😊

After a bit of a break crafting, I’m back into it for this Christmas Season. This wee unicorn is off to a lucky little girl. If you would like to order anything for Christmas send me a message. Also if you have something in mind that you haven’t yet seen, let me know and I’ll give it a go. Thanks, Christa

I have recently discovered this charity which offers people with a terminal illness a break away in a holiday home in NZ provided for free. You can take a look at it here:

TimeOut is a New Zealand charity that connects generous holiday home owners willing to donate a stay in their property to people diagnosed with a terminal illness

Readings are a special way to personalise your marriage ceremony. As celebrants, we’re often asked for suggestions of suitable readings, as couples sometimes find it hard to find the right words to say.

Fortunately, there is an array of great readings out there and finding the ones that speak to your heart needn’t be a challenge.

To help you get started, we’ve compiled a list of some of the more popular readings we’ve come across.

Read our blog on 10 wedding reading ideas, here: https://www.celebrantsaotearoa.co.nz/blog/top-10-wedding-reading-ideas/

A very special wedding at the weekend. I have known Jess since she was six years old and it was such a privilege to marry her to her soulmate Eddie.
There was so much fun and laughter - starting with the Jess's sister Katie announcing she was the bridesmaid (whether Jess wanted her or not), to the father of the bride telling Eddie "she's all yours" as he gave her away, to the redbands he gave Eddie so he can help on the orchard.
The venue was spectacular thanks to the "wedding planners" a team of friends and family who DIY-ed the day.

This wedding focused on what was important - love, family and friends - all the important things. ❤️❤️

A marriage celebrant is a vital part of your wedding day. Not only is a marriage celebrant necessary to perform a legal marriage, but in many instances, couples who choose celebrant-led weddings have a desire for a more personal ceremony, one that reflects who they are.

That’s why couples spend so much time finding the right marriage celebrant: someone they can relate to, someone who fits their preferences, and someone they like.

When you meet with a potential marriage celebrant for the first time, it’s a good idea to have a list of questions prepared, to help you gauge a better understanding of who they are and whether or not you’re the right fit for each other.

If you’re not sure what questions to ask, use the 5 questions on our blog ‘five things to ask your celebrant’ here: https://www.celebrantsaotearoa.co.nz/blog/5-questions-to-ask-your-marriage-celebrant/

Rebecca and Stefan - such a chill couple and it was such a pleasure to create and deliver their ceremony. The weather wasn't as we had hoped but no stress - up with the umbrellas and the ceremony proceeded without a hitch. Congratulations to you both and all the best for your future together.
