✨ Mānawatia a Matariki ✨

Looking for something to do tomorrow with your whānau to celebrate Matariki? Check out the events we're hosting and are proud to support 👇🏼

✨ Matariki whānau event at Ōtaki Pool, 1–5pm. Bring your whānau and friends to our Ōtaki Pool for waiata (music), ngā taputapu pupuhi (inflatables), kēmu (games), and whiwhi (prizes).

✨ Potter into Star Glaze – Mid Winter Ceramics Festival at Ōtaki–Māori Racing Club, 10am–4pm, Friday and Saturday.

✨ Matariki ki Kāpiti lighting of the beacon fires at Raumati Beach and Ōtaki Beach, 5.30–7pm and twilight miniature train rides through Marine Gardens, 4–7pm.

We’re proud to be supporting Matariki Ramaroa through our 2022/23 Major Events Fund, and Star Glaze through our Arts Sustainability Fund.

Ōtaki’s Memorial Hall will also be buzzing with Matariki Got Talent and a disco for the tamariki so be sure to bring your kanikani shoes 💃🏾🕺🏾

The stellar crew at Newtown Festival did an amazing job of managing a huge day! Massive crowds, lots of people and vehicles, and somehow convinced the rain to stay away until around 5.
