We were asked to help create a stage presence that was uniquely Waikato and reflected mokopuna ora💫
We started by teaching kaimahi of Waikato Tainui and Mokopuna Ora mahi raaranga💚
We sourced Pou locally but you'll find their siblings along our tuupuna awa, each holding koorero of Uenuku te Pou, told through the eyes of mokopuna of Waahi Paa and Raakaumanga Wharekura🌈
Poi were made to adorn the mahi raaranga but were gifted to attendees to give to mokopuna. A symbol of mokopuna voice and presence🌞
Our centrepieces spoke of identity, culture, whakapapa, whaanau, the pillars of wellbeing🌀
We sourced a few iconic props our mokopuna would instantly vibe with if they were in the room🔥
Everything was created with intention to enhance the mauri of the kaupapa.
Though we didnt attend the kaupapa we hope we did it justice.
