I contacted three different celebrants and was quite selective about what I wanted - and what I didn't want. I love working with couples to create a ceremony that is a true expression of your love. That means getting to know you both - spending time talking, laughing, planning and importantly - listening. I listen to you and create a ceremony that is as unique and as special as you are. I’m a storyteller at heart and my love is for written and spoken words. So your ceremony will be personal, elegant, and passionate. After all, it is a celebration of love! I’m easy to work with and have great ideas to help you design a day that will be perfect. I'm a writer, a presenter/public speaker, a planner, and a people person. I'm also calm, confident, adaptable and like a good laugh - qualities that all contribute to my offering as a celebrant. I am super organised and support you with grace and confidence. After many years of thinking about being a celebrant, 2018 was the year for me to take the leap! And I love the journey I have been on so far. I've met wonderful people and learned so much. I became a member of the Celebrants Association of NZ (CANZ) in April 2018 and was registered as an independent marriage and civil union celebrant in July 2018. I like to do things properly and learn as much about a new field as possible, so I have studied with The Celebrants' Training College Aotearoa and have been awarded a Diploma of Celebrancy as well as a Certificate of Funeral Celebrancy. I am a Validated Member of CANZ - which means I demonstrate my commitment to providing a professional service as a celebrant and undertaking on-going professional development. I started this journey writing beautiful ceremonies to celebrate people's lives and working as a funeral celebrant (www.partingwords.co.nz and for my page). I realised that I needed balance and to celebrate love in different ways - by being the one who joins two lives together and helps to write ceremonies for significant life milestones. So voila, Celebrate With Love was established! I officiated the marriage of my first couple in December 2018 and since then I have had the honour of joining many more couples in marriage and I love every moment - from the very first meeting with a couple, right through to the pronouncement of ‘Husband and Wife’, or ‘Husband and Husband’, or ‘Wife and Wife’! It’s not that often I have the chance to marry two gorgeous humans whom I also call close friends. Last week was so special, for so many reasons and I just loved every minute. What an absolute honour and privilege to conduct this ceremony and play my role in one of the most treasured moments in Darran and Trevor’s life together. I love you both to pieces 🥰

I love being a celebrant - celebrating love and joy as couples commit to each other. But it's time for me to take a step back for a while and focus on my main job. During the week I lead a team of communication professionals and I'm about to start a new role which will demand my time and attention. I'm not taking any new bookings but if you are looking for a celebrant I can gladly recommend someone, so please don't hesitate to drop me a note.
