Excuse My French - The Crepe Makers

We create sweet + savoury crepes from our food truck at local markets. Available for private events.

At Excuse My French, the crepe makers, we create fresh sweet and savoury crepes to order while you wait. We have been bringing a little bit of France to New Zealand since 2002 and you will find us at a number of markets, fairs and private functions around the Wellington region, including:

* On Thursdays at the Thursday Night Food Truck Market (Masterton Town Hall square), and
* On Sundays at th

e Harbourside Market (next to Te Papa in Wellington). As well as weekly specials, our menu (ranging from $5-10) includes:

Sweet crepes – sugar, lemon and sugar, Nutella, Belgian chocolate, cinnamon and sugar, lemon curd, Anathoth raspberry jam, honey, maple syrup, caramel, crepe suzette (flambéed), Grand Marnier, strawberry coulis, toasted almonds, toasted coconut, banana and freshly whipped cream. Savoury crepes – ham, cheese, and Excuse My French’s own tomato provencal (tomatoes, garlic, onions and fresh herbs reduced down into a rich, tasty tomato sauce), or a combination of any of these. We are pleased to provide an EFT-PoS facility for customers including PayWave and credit (small surcharge applies).

Mon Dieu!

This summer is not very summery! And the forecast for Welly tomorrow is cold, wet and a little too windy for the poor little crepe trailer to be open.

So we send our apologies to all our customers but we will stay in bed instead eating hot buttery toast and drinking copious amounts of hot coffee.

The Masterton Christmas Masterton is nearly set up, there’s plenty of shade for the hot, sunny day expected, great food, drink and goodies galore to browse! 100s of stalls running the entire shopping precinct- you’ll find us at the north end of Queen st opp the Hospice shop 😃

:-) The Rotary Masterton Christmas Fair 8:00am-4:00pm this Saturday for crafts, arts, food and entertainment PLUS most of the Masterton retailers will have a stall or specials in-store. You'll find us near the corner of Queen and Park Street opposite the Hospice Shop (with our backs to the Library), and

:-) The wonderful Harbourside Market in Welly from approximately 7:30am until noon-ish ...

Our Story

We are proud to say we have been serving our delicious crepes in New Zealand since 2002, using the very best New Zealand ingredients. Our Swiss chef looks after quality control and recipe development and if the crepe you are craving is not on our menu, talk to us about it and we'll create an exclusive crepe for you.

Most of the time you’ll find us on Saturdays at the Featherston Weekly Market and on Sundays in Wellington at the Harbourside Market next to Te Papa.

You’ll also find us at major festivals and events around the Wellington and Wairarapa region so keep an eye on our Facebook updates to be sure you’ll be able to get your crepe-fix!
