2024 | Firstly... a quick apology for the radio silence on the socials of late. It's been a hectic few months, plus I've been putting off the following public service announcement
As 2024 is now in full swing, it's time to announce more big changes around here.
It’s hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years, thousands of bouquets, hundreds of beautiful weddings, two shops moves and countless hours spent flowering, but it's time to hang up my snips.
For the last few months I've been working with the awesome creative folk at the Print Room and I bloody love it! To create space for this new journey I'll be closing the RocknRosie store at the end of this month.
Whilst we will be letting go of fresh flowers for now, it's not the end. Keep following as we'll be back with a brand new website, fresh new brands and lot's more beautiful gifting available online for shipping throughout NZ.
Apart from missing my pretty shop, it's definitely time for me and an exciting new chapter for RocknRosie.
Bringing RocknRosie to life in Dunedin has been the greatest experience. I've thought so much about writing this post over the last few months and how I can express my gratitude towards all the people that have been bought into my life because of RocknRosie. To all my beautiful friends that helped me move, listened to me whinge, held flowers on their lunch breaks... painted walls, delivered bouquets and been wedding florists for a day, I am eternally grateful.
To all my loyal cafes, restaurants, fellow small businesses, wonderfully loyal shop customers and amazing growers that have supported me on this journey, I couldn't have done it without you.
To my beautiful brides, thank you for trusting me with your weddings...I've truly loved creating for you and being a part of so many couples' big day.
It's true what they say about small business, the struggle is real... If ya know, you definitely know and It's time to put myself, my health and my family first as I navigate the last year of my 30's (yikes!).
It's time for this northern bird to spread her wings and hopefully fly back to the nest for a wee trip before they forget who I am up't north and I start to lose my accent (like that will ever happen!)
More details to come, but for now....
Thank you from the bottom of my flowery little heart.
Char ✌🏻
