Most of Greenmantles guests book well in advance, occasionally people book on the day.
These guests just wandered up thr driveway and started eating the lawn!
Fortunately a concerned neighbour escorted them back to their paddock a few doors down after their very lucky trip on the main road

Jo & I are trying out some of the local restaurants so we can give our guests our own recommendations on where to eat.
Last night we went to 50-50 in Paraparaumu.
It was fine dining at its best, a 9 course degustation menu with matched wines.
We had the vegan version of the menu and chef Helen Turnbull was just outstanding with her menu.
If you’re booking a special night or two at Greenmantle Estate, the perfect dinner match is at 50-50.
Please book the restaurant at the time you book your stay, (or ask us to book on your behalf) as 50-50 can be booked some weeks in advance.

It’s an absolute privilege to be the latest guardians of this magnificent property.
We’d like to acknowledge Ralph, Letizia & Lorenzo for providing us with a fantastic handover, and we wish them all the best for their next adventures.

As for the future at Greenmantle, we’ll continue to provide luxury accommodation of the highest standard in the magnificent pavilion rooms.
Additionally (and appropriately as Jo and I celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary today), Greenmantle will also strive to be the venue of choice as an intimate wedding venue in the region.

So whether it’s a luxury weekend retreat you’re after, or an intimate wedding venue (up to 70 people), we’d love to host you, at the Greenmantle Estate.

Greenmantle Estate board and management is passing the baton of the keys on February 18 2022.

It is time for a change of pace for the current owners and the opportunity for new local ownership to drive forward in its own way.

We thank our Facebook friends and followers for your interest and support over almost a decade.

In particular we appreciate those of you have come to enjoy the Greenmantle experience…we have very much enjoyed your company and insights…with many of you our relationship became much closer than simply guests and hosts…we relish those privileges.

Thank you to our hard working team, industry colleagues and to our suppliers.

We wish you all a safe and enriching future.

For us, we simply want to enjoy retirement in the closeness of family and to be near them.

Our family is basing themselves in Europe so we wish to be near them.
