We were lucky enough to be a part of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic Awards Dinner to end a great 2024 season and celebrate their 25th birthday!! We provided sound, tech, lighting and of course set the atmosphere with some great music!! We were also given the priviledge of presenting an award - Players Player of the Year 2024, deservedly received by the amazing !!
Your presence was missed !!
Such a great way to end an awesome season!!

Congrats and Happy 25th Birthday Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic!
We had so much fun marking the occasion with you all over the weekend! We had a packed out arena of over 3000plus loyal fans and the vibe was electric!! We were kicking off in our dedicated party zone!!

And that's a wrap! We are beyond proud of the progress made this last term, by our Limelight DJ Academy Students. Our Students went from strength to strength each week. Then they got to display their skills for all their family and friends at our End of Year Showcase!
Massive shout out to our whanau Lilyworld for an amazing venue. Another huge shoutout to everyone who made it out. Lastly, thank you to DJ Rae and DJ Fia. Not only did you push past the nerves and deliver an outstanding one hour set but you put one heck of a show on for all to enjoy!! Keep scrolling to the end for the epic sounds of DJ Rae and DJ Fia!!

(Commencing 2024)

An introductory program to Event DJing for Primary, Intermediate and High School Students

We cover DJing history, teach the ability to count beats and measures, set up, connect, use basic functions of a DJ controller, speakers and DJ software, curate set lists, and transition seamlessly between 2 tracks

​It provides Tamariki with the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the craft and its history while gaining the tools needed to get started as a DJ (Disc-Jockey)

The program also teaches song elements, how to develop a skill for reading the room and touches on the fundamentals of responsible marketing and finance​

DJIS will provide Tamariki with pathways to job experience and employment pathways

The program also links to the NZ Curriculum with all equipment provided by Limelight Academy

Limelight Academy will start offering DJ lessons from Tuesday October 10th. Register today for a spot on our 10-Week program. The introductory program to event DJing will get your DJ journey started on the right foot covering DJ history, music structure, beat matching, how to set up a PA and more.

1-On-1 Lessons: Pick a topic and dive into in detail with the support of our experienced and skilled teaching team. From music organisation, beat matching, software, hardware and more. Get the most out of team with a session dedicated just for you.




Pop Up Lessons: Pop Up sessions will cover a variety of topics and include a Q&A session where you can ask our team for our expert advice on anything event DJing. Keep an eye for our Pop Up sessions at a venue near you. The perfect opportunity for a taster of what you can get in to with us.

Team Building: Looking for something different, fun and interactive for the team? Book a Learn2DJ session with us for your next team building event. We'll provide everything you need for the experience and will have your team on the dance floor before the event is over. It will feature interactive DJ and music activities for the team, team quizzes and mini showcase. All equipment will be provided by LA
