We love a good challenge and the new hybrid hotel and hostel - The Drifter tasked us with a goodie 🛠️

The brief was to build a stylish yet functional bar with precise measurements to fit inside their lift, allowing staff to easily maneuver the bar between communal areas. Key features include a speed rack, ice well and two fridges to ensure the drinks don’t run out 🍻 For the finishing touch, LED lighting was installed with interchangeable colours to illuminate the Drifter decal on the front of the bar ✨

Every element inside Drifter has been carefully designed and thought through so it’s an absolute joy to see our custom-made bar seamlessly integrated into this stunning space ❤️

Last weekend, our team returned to the River Rooms at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre but this time for St Andrew’s College school formal.

The theme was 'Meet me at Midnight,' and we went all out with sparkle ✨ suspending 55 mirror balls from the ceiling, including a stunning 1m mirror ball above the dancefloor 🪩

Our Narnia lamps and bench seat created the perfect photo moment backdrop against the fairy lights where the students could snap a pic of themselves enjoying their evening before the clock struck midnight 🕛

LET’S RALLY BEHIND The NZ Team!!!🇳🇿

As an official team supporter of the NZ Olympic and Paralympic teams, Westfield Riccarton asked us to create a variety of displays and activations throughout the centre 👏

Upstairs, next to the Olympic Fan Zone on Level 2 (where the Olympics and Paralympics will be playing live on a large projector screen), we custom-built a 4-hole mini-golf course ⛳️each representing a significant historical NZ sporting moment in athletics 🏃‍♂️ rowing 🚣‍♀️ cycling 🚴‍♂️ and rugby 🏉. The team enjoyed getting creative with the obstacles, incorporating rugby balls, bicycle tyres, and even the end of a racing kayak.

Beside the mini-golf, we set up a special photo moment podium, where customers can show their support by snapping a picture of themselves with the NZ flag in front of a large graphic representing some of the diverse range of sports the NZ Team are competing in 2024 📸

Further down towards Farmers, there is a pop-up display of eye-catching signage, celebrating the last 100 years of our amazing athletes, with some key historical moments across both the Olympics and Paralympics 🥇🥈🥉

Lastly, as you wander through the mall, be sure to stop at the ‘Spin a Sport’ display stand to learn some interesting facts about some of the NZ Olympic and Paralympic teams’ sports 🏋️🏀🏇🏊‍♀️

Our LED products were on full display at The Canterbury Registered Master Builders Association House of the Year 2024 awards at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre last weekend 🏆

Inspired by the event branding, guests were welcomed by our sleek new LED archway, illuminated in the event’s creative colours ✨ The contemporary lines and lush native plants at the entrance continued through to the 60 centrepieces featuring stunning terrariums with a variety of fresh greenery 🌿

To ensure attendees received their awards in style, we upgraded our festoon stage stairs, now offering acrylic panels with LED strip lighting. With 20 + colour options available, we are thrilled to have created a versatile option for our clients.

Over the weekend, we rolled out the red carpet for the Southbase Construction team at their ‘Casino Royale’ themed night at the MAJESTIC ♠️♥️♣️♦️

From the get-go, the red and black colour scheme set the tone with an elegant entrance featuring rich red velvet draping. Continuing the theme into the main room, we hung our giant dice 🎲 and playing cards🃏from the ceiling to give the illusion that they were floating above the guests as they enjoyed their night cheering on the All Blacks and dancing the night away.

To top it off, our new Casino Royale fabric backdrop made its debut to create the perfect photo moment backdrop for the guests to snap their pics 📸

Step into a prehistoric forest at Northlands Shopping Centre as the dinosaurs are in town! 🦕🌿

Our team has worked hard to transform the area outside BNZ into a dino-themed wonderland for their school holiday activation.

An inviting entrance has been created using our tree arch, where you will be greeted by a Brachiosaurus and Triceratops. The kids will have the opportunity to explore multiple activity zones nestled among our native trees, where they can read, draw, and embark on a exciting dinosaur egg hunt. 🥚🦖 Discover a world of ancient wonders with our display cabinets showcasing dinosaurs, fossils, and fascinating facts to keep young explorers entertained.

Make sure you head to Northlands Shopping Centre from 11am-3pm till Sunday 14th July, for a ‘dino-mite’ experience with the kids.

What a hit! The "Ring for Champagne" wall at the Canterbury Sports Awards was an absolute delight for our guests! 🎉🍾

Embrace the CHILL ❄️

This winter at Northlands Shopping Centre we wanted to create a display that captured the essence of a snowy winter.

To achieve this, we created icicle-like shapes with soft fleece and faux fur to surround the mannequins, inspiring the feeling they had just stepped into the snow, all wrapped up in this season’s winter looks 🧥🧣🧤

Mānawatia a Matariki 🌗

This year for Westfield Riccarton we have created a educational experience, where customers can walk through our new custom-made LED tunnel ✨to learn about Matariki and it’s cultural significance, whilst taking in our lush native plants from our nursery 🌿before reaching the giant telescope to explore the nine stars 🔭

✨Matariki hunga nui | Matariki of many people ✨

Our team has created an eye-catching installation for Northlands Shopping Centre to celebrate the Māori New Year - Matariki. Using our giant inflatable stars and fairy light trees, our aim was to encourage people to come together, sit beneath the stars to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future.

Make sure to bring your whānau to Northlands Shopping Centre at 1pm, Thursday 27th June to catch the kapa haka performances underneath the stars ✨

YEE-HAW! 🤠

Last weekend, the students from Rangi Ruru Girls' School were transported to the western outback for their WILD WEST themed formal held at Milton St Substation

Our saloon doors and fairy light cactus set the scene from the entrance 🌵

Upstairs, we got our muscle on 💪, lifting wine barrels, pallet furniture, timber slabs, rustic bar leaners to ensure there were plenty of chill out spaces in the mezzanine as well as providing a photo moment area with our new western fabric backdrop so the students could capture their special night 📸

Thanks Rangi Ruru for getting us back to theme your formal. We hope everyone had an unforgettable night! 💃🕺

Hosted by Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), MEETINGS is New Zealand’s leading event industry tradeshow. Taking place over two days from 19-20th June, this event provides a platform for exhibitors and buyers to connect and engage, face-to-face.

Once again, Theme Productions is proud to partner with the Ōtautahi Christchurch regional stand for the second consecutive year and Chris and Sally look forward to meeting the buyers to showcase our services next week.

It’s all about LAYERS this winter at Westfield Riccarton ❄️

To complement the new season looks being showcased in the mall’s mannequin display cabinets, we custom-made several layered fabric ‘curtains’ in neutral tones.

By combining different materials and textures, and playing with different angles, we were able to capture the essence of layering, evoking the feeling of being wrapped up and cosy on those chilly days🧣

We love collaborating with Helena at HL Creative and Kim at Dancing Water Winery 🤗

After successfully designing the Dancing Water Winery stand at the North Canterbury Wine and Food Festival, Helena and Kim requested our services for the opening of Philip Trusttum's Art Takeover at The Colombo 🎨

Dancing Water Winery was invited to provide the wine for the evening so we wanted to make sure their branding was just as important as the artwork on display. By continuing the look and feel that we had previously created, we utilised existing arch stands to showcase their brand as well as creating an elegant photo moment frame, featuring dried floral arrangements.

It had been 14 years since the Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting was last held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, so we wanted to make their conference dinner truly special ✨

Drawing inspiration from the tree motifs in the New Zealand Rheumatology Association (NZRA) and Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA) logos, our LED blossom trees took the spotlight as the centrepieces 🌿

Each table was adorned with these enchanting trees, set on faux moss with rocks and greenery, adding a touch of elegance to the event.

Last week, we had the pleasure of creating a statement in the Rivers Room at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre for the Summerset Retirement Villages Applause Awards 🏆

Our large lycra panels were used in a variety of ways, both flat and assembled as cubes, hanging and stacked on the floor on top of each other, to fill the space whilst complementing the ceiling decor of the room itself. We also continued this motif through to the table decor with small acrylic versions, internally lit with rechargeable LED lights, used as centrepieces to create a cohesive feel to the room.

Special thanks to Vidcom New Zealand for enhancing the lycra panels with their customised lighting in the client's brand colours.

We hope all the guests enjoyed the night, celebrating the exceptional work of their staff. Congratulations! 🎉

Be an upstander, not a bystander!

Today is Pink Shirt Day 👚 and we helped Northlands Shopping Centre create a photo moment backdrop to encourage people to stand together, speak up and share the love to help eliminate bullying.

The photo moment backdrop includes a stunning pink balloon garland from Balloon Art New Zealand and a whiteboard on the other side where people can write a message in support of this important campaign.

Be sure to pick up one of the props and take a photo with the giant love heart, tagging and to be into win a $100 Woolworths voucher 📸

We had the amazing opportunity to design a captivating sensory wall at Northlands Shopping Centre.

Our custom-built wall features a dual-sided design with a range of tactile panels, inviting kids to engage and explore every element.

With a focus on durability and functionality for little hands, we carefully considered soft edges, different textures, and materials. We also incorporated interactive elements like spinning wheels to keep the kids entertained with dynamic movement.

For ease of manuevring and storage, the wall also folds into itself and locks to be more compact.
