We at Fairbrass Events were so fortunate to work with Flat City Brotherhood once again taking the Micky Finns stage over the weekend! There's nothing like a COMPLETELY packed out venue, a well-refined, professional covers band, and a good audio setup to remind us why we got into this line of work in the first place. Let's hope the momentum keeps up and more people venture out to enjoy local musicians playing the music we all know and love!

Right after we were back from being evacuated because some tosser decided to do enough burnouts outside the building to fill half of the place with smoke and trip the fire alarm!

Keeltys, Th' Goonz and Harry Burt blew our minds last night with some astounding performances at TH' GOONZ, KEELTYS, HARRY BURT BAND @ DUX CENTRAL. We at Fairbrass Events feel very grateful that we have friendships in these circles as it means we get to experience and help to build some of the crazy shows they put on throughout Christchurch city.

Fairbrass Events continues to operate now with a more expanded team of engineers covering a few venues simultaneously. We also have a potential future ongoing collaboration coming up which could mean some big developments in the local music scene... more on that at a later date.

If you love original, chaotic, fun live music, follow these bands as they play a few shows a month around the city. You won't be disappointed.

Hi, everybody.

As of December 24th, 2021, Fairbrass Sound will be undergoing a restructure and all event services provided by Fairbrass Sound will be put on standby.

The lockdown periods have severely affected live events in general and we are going to need to take another look at how everything is being run here. This will go on for an undetermined period of time.

Thanks to Carlton and Micky Finns for the regular weekend work over 2020 and 2021, you helped to see us through these two years and we got to work some awesome shows over this period.

Isolde were an absolute pleasure to mix last night. While maintaining that they keep classics alive, they have a good focus on songs that have had TikTok virality, making their sets feel very much in the now. The audience absolutely loved the performance, I could tell as I overheard the conversations of people leaving afterwards, talking about how much they enjoyed themselves. I definitely rate this group! Go give them a like!

Shaun Malloch and The Knews were absolutely stellar at Space Academy tonight. Was thoroughly impressed with these guys and the sound they're bringing to the city. Nice one - and what a sweet little venue! More gigs like this one would be good I reckon. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
