Great to pick some of our first Matthiola doubles today and sell to some lucky locals. More will come on for picking as days pass. If you are interested in getting your hands on some please pm me on facebook.

Due to starting late in the year our crop of Stock has begun to flower in a non uniform fashion. This means we will have some available for the locals in the area instead of taking it all to the Auctions.

The flowers are near ready to be picked, likely this weekend. There are a number single petal floret blooms that are ready for picking .

Single Petal Floret Stems $0.50 per stem + gst (shown in fourth pick in orange bucket)

Double Petal Floret Stems $1.60 per stem + gst (in the other pics)

The colours are Lavender, deep rose, cherry blossom and soon to follow apricot.

Here comes the colour. Our stock has started to come on. Still plenty of clean up work in progress for the rest of our hothouses.

It has been a while since we last posted. We have found a new place to grow flowers again. A lot of work has gone into getting this place up and running after it has been sitting around for almost two years. It's good to finally see some crops growing.

Lovely Sweet Basil, fantastic rich aroma grown in a small 9x10 pot.

Excellent for making fresh basil pesto or popular in italian dish fresh or cooked.

Plants are spray free, grown in coconut fiber potting mix with controlled released fert. We can be found at the Mangawhai community market on Saturdays or reach out to us online

Bit of a change for us, unfortunately the flowers are on the back burner for now. We are currently experimenting with vegetable seedlings and flowering plants. We may have a nursery again some day 🙂

We have Lots of Lilly's picked fresh today, so we are putting them on special $8 per bunch or 2 for $12. The colour is a beautiful rich orange. Special is only available direct. Pick up location to be arranged on order.

Blossom Ridge is a family commercial cut flower growing business and is also developing florist made products for the public to purchase from one of our co-op outlets or directly from us. It is our aim to provide a friendly fair service to those in towns near our farm, whilst we also supply the Auckland based floristry industry. Majority of our product is grown by ourselves.
