Jono Gribble Photography Photography including portraits, landscapes, sports events, wildlife, musical, real estate photography. I have always admired the New Zealand landscape.

I have done a lot of travelling around New Zealand by car and by foot. I have spent a large part of my life in the bush as a hunter and tramper. I have explored most of the National Parks in the North Island and a few in the South Island including parts of the Southern Alps. The variety is incredible for a country the size of New Zealand. My first camera was a Kodak Box Brownie. I now use a Canon

6D with a variety of lens from prime to zoom. I worked in real estate for 10 years including sales and property management. I was involved in real estate photography for much of that time. I worked for 10 years as a potter, selling my creations through craft shows and via a shop I ran in Trafalgar Square, Wanganui. Len's that I use Canon DSLR include Canon 100-400mm L lens, Tamron 70-200mm, Canon 24-105 L lens, Canon 50mm prime.

Short-term interests, an economic system that concentrates wealth among a few individuals, the rise of right-wing populism with anti-environment agendas, and financed disinformation campaigns designed to protect short-term profits, mean it’s unlikely we’ll be able to make changes at sufficient scale to avoid environmental catastrophe. A ghastly future seems almost assured.

Species are going extinct at an unusually high rate. Our efforts now will prevent a future too ghastly to contemplate, says Corey Bradshaw
