PNG Creative & Cultural Promotions was giving the pleasure and opportunity to participate in a Marketing Workshop, attended by our Public Relations Manager - Mr. Duncan Yareki and Business Development Manager - Mr. Marcelin Aisa which was hosted by the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority.

The Marketing Workshop saw participants from key Tourism Sector hosted by the statutory body, giving vital information and insight into the trends to counter attack the marketing challenges the Tourism Industry in Papua New Guinea has been hit with. Refocusing on old approaches and implementing new gateways to boost and attract both International and National tourist back to Papua New Guinea to experience the vast wealth of tourism we have on offer.

The Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority also gave an insight and history rundown of the organisation and how they have grown from strength to strength with their strategies, marketing implementations, subsidised travel packages with the Airline Industry (Air Niugini and PNG Air) and the support the organisation has to small tour operators and sectors, working in partnership to boost tourism in the rural and remote areas of the Nation, to attract more social and mainstream media attention to attract tourists to visit and experience Papua New Guinea.

Participants were given a group discussion to do a SWOT Analyse to on Tourism focusing on a City and at a National level. At the end of the analysis, the findings were tabled and discussed in which both the participants and the PNGTPA would work together to take each finding into consideration to find resolutions to better Tourism in Papua New Guinea as a whole, working in collaboration towards a common goal.

All in all, the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority Marketing Workshop was a great success as each participant gained an immense amount of informative wealth in which they could go back to their organisations to implement to boost productivity and tourism in Papua New Guinea as a whole for the greater good of our People and Nation as a Tourist Destination with all that we have to offer.
