Super important!!! Read please...
Sometimes couples classify suppliers as major and minor. Some suppliers who get classified as minor are the sounds and lights team, the projector/led wall team, the emcee, the cocktail food provider, etc.
But really if the supplier will affect the guests’ experience of your wedding, is the supplier minor?
The cocktail food provider keeps guests busy and full during their waiting time, ie the couple’s time for post nup and retouch + quick meal. Without them the guests will be so annoyed and HANGRY by the time the program begins.
The emcee has to lead the program for 2 to 3 hours. He or she has to speak well, true. But more than than, he or she has to find ways to CONNECT with the crowd so they will enjoy the reception. The plans are there and they are important but it’s up to the emcee to make the guests experience the program according to the plans he or she prepared with the couple.
The sounds and lights play a big role in the program experience of the crowd. How can the emcee and all others be heard well without the proper placement of speakers? What kind of musical scoring will be had without an efficient program dj? Will the guests end up with headaches because of the wrong placement of lights, ie affecting them with the glare? Does the sound tech pay enough attention to safety protocols while handling microphones?
What about the projector or led wall team? When the need to play an avp comes, will the guests end up disappointed due to never ending technical difficulties? Will the Same Day Edit be experienced properly? Or will the guests end up wondering if there’s a problem with the editing or there’s a problem with the laptop/ screen? You paid more to get an SDE right? If you won’t pay for the efficient projector or led wall team, you will end up feeling like you wasted money on the SDE because guests didn’t experience it correctly.
So are these suppliers minor?
