Meet Princess Jehanne Masorong Mangondato-Dimaporo, the trailblazing hijab stylist from the Marawi City, Philippines who has made waves on the international stage in 2022. Her work, celebrated at the Chicago Modest Fashion Show in Illinois, USA, beautifully marries artistry with cultural heritage. A registered nurse and nurse educator at Mindanao State University, Marawi, Princess Jehanne’s passion for hijab styling was first recognized at a family wedding. What began as a personal touch quickly blossomed into a career, with professional bookings and widespread admiration in her region. But beyond creating stunning hijab looks, her mission runs deeper—she is determined to preserve the endangered Maranao textile known as "sukip," a fabric woven by only a handful of remaining artisans. Through her work, she not only showcases the beauty of modest fashion but also safeguards a cultural legacy for future generations.
