G’day ka Babus, how’s everyone doin’?

Just something I’ve noticed since we arrived here in Australia. They're totally relaxed and laid-back, right? None of that fuss over titles like Sir, Ma’am, Professor, Dr., Engr. or Atty. They’re fine being called by their first name no matter the gap in age or rank. Honestly, it’s such a refreshing change—it makes conversations feel a lot more relaxed and easygoing.

Now, compare that to back home—oh boy! I remember one time I called someone “Sir,” and they immediately corrected me, “It’s Dr., Dr. ****.” I had to quickly backtrack, saying, “Sorry, Dr.” While there are heaps of people who’ve earned those titles fair and square, let’s be honest—there are some who’ve taken shortcuts to get them, and it’s starting to get a bit too common these days.
