Our voice… the most powerful and miraculous human instrument. Other sounds may be louder, but the voice has the power to convey messages that can move, shake or shape the world. It is so powerful that other people’s livelihoods have been built around its use. That’s us… voice actors, hosts, voice overs, broadcasters, preachers, trainers, and more. Because
of the freelance, project-based setup of our profession, there needs to be a concerted effort to create a venue where these talents can converge to set the standards within the industry. More importantly, there needs to be a solid support group to exchange best practices, share projects and opportunities, and even to simply be a hub to meet and greet. The Microphone Club is a non-profit, member-driven association of Filipino voice actors, hosts, voice overs, broadcasters and other voice talents designed to advocate the highest ideals and practices of the industry. Our mission is to encourage, develop and promote the artistic, professional and economic success of freelance professional voice actors in the Philippines. We support training and mentoring to new and aspiring spectrum of skills – from developing and taking care of the voice, interpreting scripts, all the way up to marketing your talents and client relations. The Microphone Club is also a hub where ideas, opportunities and knowledge are shared for the benefit of its members, and consequently the industry. Microphone Club aims to standardize proper use of the voice personally and professionally. A core value of Microphone Club is that our strength lies in our diversity and inclusion. Built under the premise that “the microphone is the EAR of the listener,” our mission is to hone and develop the skills of our members, enabling them to provide world-class talent and customer service to their clients.

MASTER OF THE ORDER
Microphone Club is founded on February 10, 2014 by Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales – veteran voice artist, experienced radio broadcaster, internationally-awarded youth advocate, author, and a highly sought-after voice coach, motivational speaker and trainer. For the past 20 years, Pocholo has been utilizing his voice not only for the purpose of entertaining people, but more importantly for inspiring, motivating and empowering particularly the Filipino youth. With his vision of making the Philippines the center of voiceover excellence in Asia, Pocholo established his own voiceover services company, Creativoices Productions, in 2005. Within this company, he founded
the Philippine Center for Voice Acting, where they have been offering voice acting workshops to aspiring voice artists. Since its founding, Pocholo’s voice acting school boasts of thousands of graduates who are now making their own name in the industry – as dubbers, voiceovers, hosts, broadcasters, and public speakers.
Being a true steward of the voice, Pocholo has founded several other advocacies such as Voice of the Youth Network and Voice Care Philippines. He has also established his own team of trainers and motivational speakers with his organization Pochology Academy.
