Wedding Vendor Scouting Tips for the Clueless Brides (para iwas-scam: By Ms Liza Santos (veteran wedding planner,14 years TeamExtraMileWeddingAgency)
1. Don't follow recommendations by friends blindly. Read and research online for verification & more reviews.
2. It is okay to drop a wedding vendor midway. You have no obligation to finish any wedding service provider you find unworthy of your trust.
3. While longevity in the industry is so important in one's profile: check out the latest reviews. Were they able to maintain their good reputation for so many years and we're the reviews consistent?
4. Look for screenshots in looking for client testimonials (actually made by brides). Also be wary of ambush interviews immediately after the wedding unless the unsolicited client testimonial is done during the actual event program. Typewritten reviews are just faked & made by some organizers to fish for likes and possible projects.
5. Business permits, a business office, long years in the business is no longer the standard when a vendor will scam clients. Two of the most recent massive fraud and online scams were perpetrated by legit brands in the industry. (Who would have thought?) Also, the number of likes (can be bought actually online not real people=therefore not reliable) The latest scammers has 40k likes + 70k++ likes, one of them is a famous TikTok sensation?! Which makes it really harder for brides to discern which is the scammers from the reputable vendors. Always remember mah proud and budgeted brides that *Quality comes with a Cost!" Too- good- to -be-true promos can make you prey to these unscrupulous and wayward vendors (esp. that pandemic had just ended and majority of the wedding industry is just recuperating from the business losses? Be very careful when transacting! Rearch is your best guide and greatest weapon against these scammers! Basahin mo ito kung gusto mo na may darating na pagkain sa mismong araw na kasal mo (show up Ang catering at organizer). 77 wedding clients scammed by one single Manila based organizer. Iwas-scam tangkililikin Ang sariling atin! Magtiwala muna sa kapwa Bulakenyo wedding planners Bago sa taga ibang lugar.
