Mapandan for Every Juan! The Mapandan local government unit under the leadership of Mayor Karl Christian Vega has consistently demonstrated dedication to the welfare of its community through various impactful initiatives. Last weekend’s cosplay competition was a immense success, drawing the most enthusiastic participants and a vast crowd to behold their exceptional performances. Contestants showcased impressive costumes and creative skits, with many capturing the essence of their favorite characters. The event was filled with energy, laughter, and friendly competition, leaving everyone excited for next edition of HobbyTown at Mapandan Town Center!

It means loads to us and the community that we may planning events foster a safe and welcoming venue for all cosplayers. Here's the Guidelines for HobbyTown2.0's Cosplay Competition this January 18 at 5pm 🗓

Cosplay Competition Application can be both ONLINE or ON-SITE

General Rules 📚

Eligibility:
✅️ The competition is open to all Pangasinense cosplayers. Participants who are 17 years old and below must submit a signed Letter of Consent in order to join.
📝Registration:
✅️ Complete the registration form, providing details like name, character, source material, and contact information.
✅️ Submit a reference image of the character.
✅️ All audio materials for the skit performances must be given to the stage manager an hour before (use of flashdrive or phone connector).
🧛‍♂️Costume Requirements:
✅️ Costumes can be self-made, commissioned, or store-bought.
✅️To prevent bias or suspicion of, we cannot allow costumes that contain works or commission created by our judges.
✅️Costumes that have won as champion cannot be used to compete
✅️ Original designs inspired by existing characters must be accompanied by concept art.
Performance:
✅️The minimal duration of the skit is 1 minute. All performances will be stopped at the three-minute mark.
✅️Cosplay participants may perform with a partner during their performances. However, the cosplayer whose name is registered will be the one that is subject for judgment.
👥️️Decorum:
✅️ All costumes must adhere to event dress codes, avoiding nudity, offensive symbols, or inappropriate content.
✅️ Props must be safe and comply with venue rules (e.g., no sharp edges, functional fi****ms, or hazardous materials).
🕑Timing:
✅️ It is imperative that the participants be at the event venue 30 minutes prior to the start of the competition.
✅️ Each performance must stay within the stage time limit, 2–3 minutes.
Lastly,
The judges' decisions are irreversible.
