February 25, 1986—our countrymen's moment of unity, resiliency, and hope, ceasing their 14 years of dread and suffering under the Marcos Administration. There is no denying that to this day, our people still undyingly fight for their rights in shelter, healthcare, education, and social justice, and the 34th anniversary stands exceptional as the people fight amidst the outbreaking COVID-19. This sheds light on their hope in the government's capabilities—how fighting for their future is more important than protecting themselves. and how they place their societal justice over their individual health and safety.
The following set of photographs showcases our country's educators, farmers, artists, lumads, and urban poor protesting against the broken promises made by our president and his treatment to our countrymen.
