Filipino-Nigerian π³π¬π΅πmodels and sisters Lorraine and Laura Ojimba admit that there was never any rivalry between them. It was always only natural for them to take pride in each otherβs success.
Growing up at a time when the modeling industry in Manila had little to no Afro-Asian representation, the sisters say it was easy to feel estranged in Manila. Theyβve also had to endure name calling and racism throughout school. Through it all, they find that it is their sisterly bond that has become their greatest source of strength.
βYour sisters are the best people you can have in your life,β shares Laura. βEveryone else will come and go later in life. But your sisters, these are the people who were with you from the beginning. Thatβs something no one can take away from me.β
