A piece of art deserves the best flowers, for beautiful people… ✨

For this vase of , we were asked to make a fresh and vibrant bespoke floral arrangement, keeping in mind that we have to deliver a message of sympathy and hope for a better tomorrow. It was a difficult task — to make someone feel happy, through flowers, despite anyone would think. But, we hope our arrangement added more meaning to this beautiful piece of art.

The flowers we chose are not yet in full bloom, such as the Stargazer, which is still on its early stage from harvest; hoping to give some reminder… that flowers bloom, just by giving it time and proper care, like how we process grief and sorrow during difficult times in our lives…

Please let us share this story of our favorite love team by far, JEDEN — Jervin and Denice have been together as a couple for 11 years now, it is not without challenges but it seems love always finds a way to keep them together and resolve any differences.

They asked us to deliver a classy and minimalist style on their flowers, as they chose an elegant white and sage color theme; with a special request, to find a way not to cause any damage on their beloved dresses and barongs due to pins of traditional boutonnières. The uniqueness and happiness brought by their story inspired us to ensure that it will be a memorable one. So grateful for your kindness and trust, Jervin and Denice. Your loving team, .ph

LAWA

A floral story for TANAW .studio by .ph

Back when I was ten and used to visit my aunt’s flower shop in Laguna, I always see water hyacinth stems being used as base of their floral arrangements instead of bricks of floral foam, so when I was asked by a friend to do an installation that would symbolize what it means to be part of a sustainable floral industry… I just knew it has to be this one.

And, when I was in UPLB, hyacinth was such a perfect material for any kind of research to create Agribusiness products and I believe it is still relevant until now…

The water hyacinths used for our installations in Tanaw were harvested from Laguna Lake in the town of Calamba, Laguna. The arrangements are so close to our hearts, and remind us of what we can do better in this world, where we almost always think of the flowers — as the only thing that makes the arrangement beautiful; but, it’s always more than that…

Halina’t maglakad sa hardin, at amuyin ang halimuyak ng mga bulaklak. Nawa’y makalimot ka ng sandali, at mga magandang alaala ang manatili..

Gamit ang lumot bilang pundasyon ng mga bulaklak, kami ay nangarap na bigyang buhay ang natatanging ganda ng isang hardin; at nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala, na hindi tayo naririto upang gamitin lamang ang ating yamang kalikasan bagkus pangalagaan ito, magpakailanman…

Using the moss as the foundation of our floral installation, we dreamed of bringing to life the beauty of a garden to an empty space, and hoping to serve a reminder that we are here not only for consumption but also for preservation…

A floral story for TANAW .studio .ph, 12-19-2023

Sa bayan ng Los Baños, Laguna matatagpuan ang lugar na ito — Batong Malake. Isang bayan na puno ng yaman ng kalikasan, at kung saan makikita ang natatanging ganda ng bundok Maria Makiling.

Gamit ang malaking bato bilang pundasyon, at mga tumutubong Anthuriums sa ibabaw nito, ang floral installation na ito ay sumasagisag sa paglago ng bayan kasabay ng mga halaman doon.

Batong Malake is situated in the town of Los Baños, Laguna. A place full of great environmental wonders, where the beauty of Maria Makiling can also be seen.

With the use of “batong malake” or the big rock as the foundation of the installation, and the blooming anthuriums as focal flowers, the floral installation signifies the progress of the town alongside the growth of the flora and fauna in the area…
