Reality check? Probably some. Today, 12.12, has been declared by online platforms as the day for consumers to SAVE some money from HOW MUCH THEY WOULD HAVE SPENT. Which is fun, pero sabi nga nila, SALE only means LESS not ELIMINATE COST.

There’s nothing wrong about spending, especially if it’s necessary, purposeful or a gift to yourself or someone else. What might be wrong is PLANNING TO SPEND YET THERE IS NO PLAN TO SAVE.

Yes, it’s great to save P50.00 or P100.00 for a single purchase, but isn’t it greater to be saving P300,000 or more for Critical Illness, P100,000 or more for accidental incident, P1,000,000 or more for Retirement, P500/day Hospital Confinement Bill, and P600,000 or above Insurance in case something happen to you?

Little by little we understand the value of SAVING. A peso from a change for a fare or a hundred peso from a sale item at mall. What we, Financial Advisors, dream about is for every hardworking Filipino to SAVE for their FUTURE.

The thing is it's never bad to be an employee, it's never bad to have some fun, and it's never bad to treat yourself. That's life and always has been.

But the problem is when you keep on working but you are not saving and investing. Kasi para mo na ring sinabi na you are willing to work forever. Remember, we are not always young and capable to work. Meaning, kung nakakapag-generate ka ng pera ngayon from your salary, it doesn't mean na in the next few years ay kaya mo pa. Along the way (knock on the wood! 😁) are the endless possibilities of sickness, accident, or worst is death. Common yan. Mga biglaang nagkasakit, healthy naman pero nagka-cancer, nag-outing lang tapos nadisgrasya, etc.

Ang tanong lang naman ay kung handa ka na ang bulsa mo. Or kung handa na ba ang family mo sa magiging gastusin.

If tingin mo hindi pa, then let's plan for it. 💞

Itong reality na ito ang nagre-remind sa akin na wala munang arte, no excuses, bawal mapagod, bawal magreklamo, di pwedeng sumuko at kailangang humataw para sa mga pangarap ko at sa pamilya.

Di natin kailangan ng motivation from others, tingnan lang natin yung SITWASYON o STATUS natin, SOBRANG motivation na yan na dapat may gawin tayong bago.

Ito din iisipin niyo :

Hindi tayo kayang buhayin ng gobyerno. They are pulling strings just to sustain the needs this month. Businesses cannot keep up with this system for a long time. If you do not listen and the government is forced to extend the lockdown for another month or two, baka wala na kayong babalikan na trabaho. Permanent bakasyon na ang marami sa inyo. Mapapasama at mararamdaman ng Pilipinas ang global recession BIG TIME.

Masaya pa ngayon. Hintayin niyo ang Week 3 hanggang Week 4, marami na sa atin ang hindi na makakatulog ng mahimbing. Gugustuhin niyo na bumalik sa paghahanapbuhay dahil ubos na ang laman ng atm at ref niyo. Pero kung lumobo ang cases at mapwersang magextend ang lockdown indefinitely dahil sa katigasan ng mga ulo, kahit damo dyan sa bakod niyo, iisipin niyo na talaga kung paano iluto.

Hindi tayo pwede magbuhay pensiyonado ngayon. Filipinos out there should be slapped with the truth. Hindi gumagana ang simpleng pakiusap sa mga tao dahil nangingibabaw ang idea na sasaluhin ng gobyerno lahat. Truth is, talagang hindi kakayanin yan for an extended time. Businessmen will not continue to donate millions to help dahil gagana din sa kanila ang principle of self-preservation. Magpapasiguro din sila that they have more than enough.

Baka sakali mauntog ang mga ulo at magkusa nang sumunod. Kung hindi, you will have the government choose between two evils: Let the majority get infected and just bury the dead...or have all of us go hungry inside our homes.
