Sometimes, good planning means knowing when to pause.
Today was supposed to be our shoot day.
A few days ago, after closely monitoring the weather forecast, we made the decision to cancel and reschedule. At the time, the forecast showed a 75% chance of heavy rain, and we felt that pushing through would put too many things at risk.
It wasn’t an easy decision—especially after all the preparation that had already gone into it.
But today, seeing the weather, we were reminded why we made that call.
We potentially saved our couple and our team from unnecessary expenses, wasted time, difficult logistics, and the stress of trying to achieve a carefully planned vision under unfavorable conditions.
For us, this is one of the less visible parts of being a wedding planner.
Not everything we do happens on the wedding day.
Sometimes, it’s the decisions we make before the day that make the biggest difference.
At Loveish Events, we believe that planning is not only about creating beautiful moments. It’s also about anticipating risks, weighing our options, and making thoughtful decisions when circumstances change.
And sometimes, the best plan is simply:
“Let’s wait for a better day.”
