For the love of food...
Dani’s Catering is greatly inspired by my late father, Danilo Ignacio, who became my greatest influence in the kitchen and food business. My dad introduced me to the wonderful world of culinary when I was still a kid. He often tags me along whenever he goes to work for some hotels, restaurants and resorts. Since then, I had this fascination of the things he does in the kitchen. I always watch him cook and prepare dishes. I’d love to mimic his every moves and cooking style.
My dad is always the captain of the ship! After flourishing his career in culinary, he decided to run his own food business. He often tells me stories of the businesses he put up while he was still single. All were related to his love of food: from resto-bars, to canteens, to barbecue pit stops. I have witnessed how a humble canteen gets swarmed with people from different places patiently waiting for his special “Kare-Kare”. A long line of cars within our street is a typical view every Sunday morning. I could not forget how we gained lots of friends through our canteen and barbecue pit stop. There was even one time when a “high-profile-looking” man riding an SUV stopped in front of our store to try our pork barbecue and ended up buying all our skewers! He became one of our regulars and family friend since then.
My dad and I often talk about our dreams over coffee. One of which is to have our own catering business. We shared our thoughts and ideas on how the business should operate and how I, as his side kick, could help him make it successful. Too bad that our Lord God gave him his wings early. He could not witness our dreams unfolding. I could not annoy him anymore in the kitchen. However, I strongly believe, that somehow, he’s always there guiding me and leading me on how things should be done. His teachings, principles, techniques and tips are always in my mind and heart. He often tells me to “always cook from the bottom of your heart and prepare the dishes as if you are doing it for your loved ones”. This is one thing that I could not forget and always do for my clients. Amazingly, up to this moment, I keep on gaining new friends from my clientele.
We, at Dani’s Catering and Events, are always making our clients and guests our topmost priority. We value your welfare and your satisfaction is our natural high! We hope that this would be the beginning of our story with you and your family. God bless us all!
