THE BOYOYONG CLOWNS 1987

They are Bobo, Yoyo and Ong-Ong of the Boyoyong Clowns, the first values- oriented clowns in the country. Ace comedian Jose Manalo of Eat Bulaga fame was once a part of this funny trio playing as Yoyo.

From 1985 to 1988, Jose had a three-year stint as a Boyoyong clown. In fact, Jose was one of the original members of the group before it was formally named as Boyoyong. The other members of the group were Linus Lopez as Bobo, Jojo Perez as Ong-Ong and Louie Lozano who also played Yoyo.

Linus became an employee of Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna after his stint with the Boyoyong Clowns. He died of heart failure in 2017.
