A FOREST FANTASY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 🌿🌳

Two halls, one venue; the rustic wood, lush greens, and starry night.💚✨

It was supposed to be "Anne @18" on March 2020 but the lockdown happened less than two weeks before it. That did not discourage Anne and her family from making this special day happen. Anne's 21st still makes her a debutante and as a loving daughter of Noel, she wanted her day to be her dad's special day as well. Hence, we all tried our best to keep it a secret from her dad, and made it his surprise 60th birthday celebration as well. All he knew was he's simply attending his daughter's debut party and will just be escorting her so she won't fall down the stairs.

It's an event full of surprises as her mom, Judie, pretended to extend her stay in the U.S. so that everybody would assume that she won't be able to attend. We did our best to keep her arrival a secret and made sure that she makes an awesome surprise entrance.

A night of celebrating two amazing lives with good food, unlimited alcohol, live music & entertainment, and ballroom dancing. is definitely one for the books. It may have been delayed, but it was meant to be so much better with two birthday celebrants. 💎👑

💡 Signatur Idea #6

THE BRIDAL ENTRANCE

Once we open the door for you, you’re on your own.

Some other coordinators will keep on directing you as you commence your bridal walk which can also be a good thing if your mind goes blank due to your strong emotions but us in Signatur Events, as much as possible, we take a step back and leave you on your own.

In our personal opinion, it kinda takes away the experience from you if we keep on shouting stuff at you like “Smile! Smile!” or “Slower! Slower!”. It’s distracting and inappropriate.

We will just be watching you from a distance and be ready to assist you in case you trip on your dress or something.

With that being said, here are some tips for executing the perfect bridal entrance:

Wear your bridal shoes during your gown fittings to ensure that those additional inches properly match the length of your skirt. Brides who don’t do this always end up with their gowns being “too long” which may result to tripping on it or having a hard time walking. You don’t wanna be carrying your skirt with your hands as you walk down the aisle, right?

Hold your bridal bouquet in an angle that would showcase its beauty for the front view camera across you.

All eyes and cameras would be on you. Make sure that you’re on your best posture. Be confident and stand up straight.

Our head coordinator, Wilonah, shall remind you of the following only once:

Wilonah: “Once the door is fully opened, do not walk in yet. Pause and just stand there for at least 5 to 10 seconds.”

WHY: This would give the photographers and videographers enough time to adjust their camera settings if needed and would give them more chances to take more shots to choose from. Also, this pause would allow you to savor the moment and feel your truest feelings. If you feel like crying, it’s okay! Trust your waterproof mascara! Lastly, this pause would allow the groom and everyone to just appreciate their “first look” of you.

Wilonah: “Walk slowly and take baby steps.”

WHY: Never do your bridal walk in a hurry. There’s no take two, don’t let it end so fast. Enjoy the whole experience. Let your dress flow naturally. Let everyone stare at you longer. A slow walk also results into better shots (photos & videos). It would also allow the wedding singer or the canned music to be maximized before you reach the altar.

Wilonah: “This is it! Smile and enjoy!”

WHY: Just enjoy it, be happy, all the preparations (and expenses lol) have led us here, make the most out of it. Whatever happens, no one can ruin this for you as long as you really just enjoy it. Let go of your worries, the coordinators would handle the worrying part. Just be a happy bride on her way to her future husband waiting near the altar.

💡 Signatur Idea #5

Contrary to Signatur Idea #4, a fixed all-in wedding package is also a good choice as long as you are 100% confident that you’ll be able to utilize all of its inclusions. Up to the point that whatever customization comes after, would require an upgrade / add-on instead of a downgrade.

Why is a downgrade not advisable? Most fixed all-in wedding packages are not flexible in terms of price deductions. For example, the wedding cake is indicated as a three-tier fondant cake. However, you personally want a single layer naked cake only. Even if you choose to downgrade the cake, chances are the amount of the entire package won’t change. Another example, if you choose not to have the guest book, two doves or champagne for the wedding toast, chances are their value won’t be deducted from the total amount. Hence, the word “fixed all-in”.

Sometimes, depending on the coordinator / accounts executive, since price deduction is not doable, they will offer another item in lieu of the one you don’t want but not necessarily of the same worth.

Based on the experiences of some wedding couples, they were surprised by hidden charges. Indeed, there are some “all-in” packages that are not really “all-in” yet. Some are enticing for being super affordable, only to find out that the inclusions are all “basic” and might not be enough to execute your vision. Sometimes, it literally becomes a “you get what you pay for” situation.

Not generalizing though, the integrity of a fixed all-in wedding package would still depend on the ethics of the person or company offering it.

Here at Signatur Events, we are already in the process of curating our very own all-in wedding packages. We just want to make sure that the inclusions have the best value and quality. Coming soon!

So, is it yay or nay? Yay if the provider is trustworthy. Nay if the provider is overpricing and full of deceit. Beware of those who take advantage of the fact that you’re not wedding experts!

How are you going to know if they are trustworthy? You can’t. There’s always a risk so you really have to rely on your gut feel / instinct and ability to read people. Even those who have an extensive portfolio, many likes on their page, and reviews on social media, have the possibility to underdeliver.

If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is. Not to discourage you but just to look out for you. The horror stories (scam, broken promises, incomplete services, etc.) we’ve heard through the years break our hearts up to this day, wishing that they should have been our clients instead.

No tea, no shade to readily available all-in packages. We can also have those if we want to. However, we are advocates of customized packages to make sure that the inclusions are tailor fit to your needs, preferences, and budget.

What if you only have two pairs of principal sponsors and a very little entourage? What if you only prefer a single layer minimalist cake? What if you want to pay for the entourage gowns but not their hair and makeup? What if your bridal gown does not require any beadwork? What if you don't need a bridal car anymore 'cause you want to use your personal car or borrow your uncle's classic ride? What if you have specific preferences that do not match with a fixed wedding package?

Here at Signatur Events, we might not be able to give you a fixed complete package pronto nor instantly have answers to all your questions, but that's because we need to do the following first:

1. Ask all the necessary questions to know all the details of your entire vision.

2. Inquire with suppliers, show them your pegs, make sure of their availability on your wedding date, and find the best price without sacrificing the quality.

3. Collate, compare, and compute all quotations to actually create your very own wedding package; and hopefully to hit your target budget.

Wedding packages are worry-free, as long as it's handled by a trustworthy wedding coordinator.

As the service providers lessen the hassle for you, commissions are normal and justifiable, but overpricing is not. Beware of those who mark everything up too much. Trust someone who will never let any amount of money define their name and character. Integrity is king. 💎👑

Even if the bride does not mind, it goes without saying that no one should outshine her. It does not matter if you're the sister, the bestfriend, the maid of honor, or the bridesmaid. Don't do anything that would distract the focal point from the bride even if it's as petty as hair color.

The bride might love you too much to even notice but it's an unwritten rule. It's common sense to blend in and not stand out, since it's not your wedding.

There's no "take two" in wedding photos and videos. Don't ruin the entire aesthetic. They worked so hard to keep everything within their color motif / color palette. If you stir away from it, it's distracting to look at. Imagine having neon hair in a neutral-colored rustic wedding. You'd really stand out esp. in group shots but are you supposed to?

If the bride has a "normal" hair color, don't dye yours with a shade that's not within the black-brown-blonde spectrum. If your hair is already dyed, there are semi-permanent black & brown dyes that would only last long enough (few days) to cover it up as needed. It's understandable that you also want to look good on a special day, but you don't wanna seem like a "pick me girl", right?

It's just hair color for some, but it's also a gesture of respect.

The Bridal Shoes

Whether it's expensive or average in price, what matters most is to choose a pair that you can wear for long hours.

❌ style > comfort
✅ style = comfort

The truth is.. your bridal shoes can affect your mood on your wedding day! You might become a bridezilla 👹 if your feet & leg muscles are suffering. A bride that is constantly in pain might end up creating her own stress bubble because she's extremely tired & uncomfortable with all the standing & walking during shoots.

Also, make sure that the heel height is just right for the length of your bridal gown to prevent tripping on it and make sure that you can really handle those inches. 2-3 inches would be fine, or you can actually go for flats! It's your wedding anyway! 👰
